Do you give you LO hard boiled eggs? My mom says they are hard to digest so babies should eat soft boiled eggs where the yolk is still a little runny. I'm wondering if anyone has heard this before? My mom is remembering back from when I was a baby, so not sure if her info is still accurate.

I give Nathan hard boiled or scrambled eggs. have only heard that they are an allergen, not that they are hard to digest.

I haven't heard they are hard to digest either, just the allergen part. I haven't given him any eggs yet though.

Being hard to digest wouldn't matter if it was cooked solidly or not. I would think that runny yolk would definitely be a no-no for a baby.

Our pedi says no eggs until Lyla is one! I do know several people who give their LOs eggs that are scrambled to death though.

We were told (by our pediatrician) that egg yolks are okay, but egg whites are a no-no right now.

She said we could scramble the egg yolks, or just hard boil an egg and give it to her that way. She said it can be given like it is or mix it into her cereal. I did that once and she loved it. I think it would be a little dry to eat it by itself like that.

I havn't done hard boiled yet but we have done scrambled, I would think not having it cooked all the way would be worse than hard boiled.

We haven't done egg yolks yet. I have never heard it was hard to digest just that the egg whites can be an allergen. We got the okay to give them to DD since as far as DH and I know we don't have any allergies to food. However I probably will wait for a bit longer.

Also I would think hard boiled would be way better then soft.
