I'm sorry I haven't been around here too much lately. I'm trying to spend less time on the computer these days and when I am on, my computer has been a little slower and I'm having mouse issues and it's hard to read and reply to all the posts that I want to anymore. I really want to try to jump back in a little more but we are about to go on vacation and I don't know how much I will be able to get online and then I'm starting a summer class the week after we get back and then I've got to get ready for his birthday party weekend so things might be kind of crazy for a while. But I love you guys and I wanted you to know that I do try to keep up as best I can!

In case you didn't see on Facebook, my little man finally learned how to crawl!! Well, sort of. It's very crude and he doesn't seem to do it much or to want to do it much but at least he can and he's able to get into a sitting position on his own now too! I think he will be walking soon too. He's getting a little more daring with letting go while standing and he's getting better at walking while holding one hand, but not cruising furniture yet, really. That's sort of a load off. We're still planning on having the EI evaluation (if the person will ever return my calls!)visit because I still worry about his lack of communication and some other things. So hopefully it won't show anything major that we should be worrying about.

And the last couple days in a row he's had one long nap around noontime and then stayed up for the rest of the day and went to bed at a decent hour (7:30-8) and sleeping maybe 11 hours total which is amazing for us! I'm wondering if he could really be ready for just one nap yet? Of course going on vacation is about to throw everything off, I'm sure.

YAY!!! I think he's going to develop really quickly now...that's how my daughter was. Instead of progressing all along, she was static and then all the sudden, bam!

Also, I think a lot of times the babies ARE saying things, we just don't understand them. Like my daughter has always been good with "talking" but for some reason, I have never heard a "Hi" out of her. She even tries to repeat what we say. It just dawned upon me yesterday that she HAS been saying "hi" to us, only it comes out as "ah". LOL Of course she needs to develop the proper pronunciation but I have a feeling Vincent knows what he is talking about.

I was so happy to see your video of Vincent crawling! It choked me up. :-) I bet you were so proud, Mama. Just like what Seema said, Eli seemed to be slower than all the other babies and now is trying to do everything all at once.

Have fun on your vacation and then come back and tell us all about it!

Woo hoo! I'm glad you're feeling better about his development. I always say that Avery likes to really think through her milestones before she hits them. Sounds like Vincent is the same way.

That's wonderful news! You know, Juliana was a late crawler and about a week or two after she started was when the babbling really got going. I think they need to focus on one thing at a time. I bet Vincent will be babbling any day now. Have a wonderful trip!
