Natalie is the worst napper I have ever had! She is still like a newborn with her naps. She will fall asleep in your arms, but you set her down and she wakes right up. She will be so whiney where you KNOW she is tired, but she won't go to sleep. I don't get it because she's not bad about going down at bedtime, but nap time is a while different story. Anyone else with lousy nappers? Got any solutions?

im sorry Ross has been a pretty decent napper since we got him into a schedule at about 6 months, though hes down to only one nap now granted its 2-3 hours long but i didnt expect him to drop a nap until past a year.

I dont really have any suggestions, sorry does natalie have a bed time routine? maybe if you tried a nap time routine it might help

It really depends on the day. She really needs 2 naps but she fights the second one big time. I will lay her down for it and as long as she is happy in her crib I let her be. Even if she isn't sleeping. I feel bad for it though at the same time..lol Sometimes she will lay down and go to sleep others she will start crying and want out so I go get her. And she is weird because she will be on the floor and lay down so I assume she is ready for a nap and lay her down and nope she don't want it.

I am glad to at least get one nap out of her but she really needs that second nap.

Sorry not much help at all..lol

Omair struggles sometimes, too. Also usually with his second one. It seems like sometimes I spend 2 hours trying to get him down and then he only sleeps for 30 minutes.

Do you use a carrier? It might be a solution for both of you - she gets to sleep close to you while you get things done.

Other than that I can't think of anything, sorry!

Liam fights his naps
He's terrible when my parents watch him on Sundays while I work, sometimes he won't take a nap at all
If all else fails i put him in the swing, still works for the most part

Well, I feel bad, but now that my kids are out of school the nap issue is being solved by playing hot potato with Natalie. It's sad. She'll fall asleep with someone holding her so we just have been handing her off if she won't sleep in the crib. She's getting a little better now that she's not in the van so much. I think that's been part of the problem. She's napping on the drive so she doesn't nap well at home. It's just the drive to get kids from school she gets interrupted sleep.

Miranda has become a really bad napper lately too. The only way she'll sleep during the day is if I put her in the snugli. Thankfully she will keep sleeping if I take her out and put her in the crib. She used to be great on car rides....not anymore. At night she sleeps without any problems, but during the day she's killing me.
