I'm Rh (-) and have to get the rhogam shot during my pregnancy...but since this is baby #2, I remember the DR. telling me that I have to get it or my body will work against the baby... How soon does this need to be given to me?

My SIL got hers at 27 weeks. You will also get another shot after the baby is born, if he/she has + blood type, not if the baby is - blood type.

not sure My mom was Rh- though and her dr forgot to give her the shot when she was pregnant with me. I was born 6 weeks early because of that. Ask your Dr at your next appt

okay! thanks everyone! I remember getting one while I was around 28 weeks last time...but my dh has been driving me nuts telling me to call my dr. to let them know that I'm rh- and that I will need this shot before my body rejects the baby! He is over-protective
