So my dh just started a new job!!! While I am super excited about his new opportunity, I am going crazy!!! We will be moving from Pa to Boston in the middle of August. In the mean time my dh started his new job in Boston on Monday. I work full time and have to do everything myself. I have to get both kids ready in the am, dh usually took care of dd and I would take care of Tommy. I never thought it would be this hard getting 2 kids out the door by 7am, then I have to take dd to my sister to go to school and ds to daycare which is 15 min from my sisters then me off to work. Then take care of all the household things, baths, dinner etc. I never realized how much dh helped out around here....geez. I don't know how I am going to keep this up for 2 months...I am exhausted and it has only been 3 days...lol. It will at least get easier when dd and dh go to the same daycare when school gets out!! But it will all be worth it in the end....I finally get to be a SAHM and I can't wait!!!

Maybe it will get easier once you get used to doing it yourself everyday, when does summer vacation start for you? hopefully that will make things easier on you too, I couldnt imagine doing everything myself either, so my hat is off to all the amazing single moms out there.

Also I am so so so happy that youre finally going to be able to stay home with Lily and Tommy, I know thats something youve been hoping for, for a while

Congrats on all of these wonderful things that are happening for your family!

It will get easier...when my DH deploys, the first little bit is the hardest, but you'll figure out your own routine and how things work best for you!

Good luck!! It is so hard to get out the door with two kids by yourself in the morning. The hardest for me is doing baths and bed. My DH just left on a fire assignment so I will be flying solo for the next 2-3 weeks too.

Thats great that all these good things are happening! Just hang in there! It's so rewarding to be a sahm, but it can be tiring as well. I wouldn't trade it for anything though - you are going to love it!

Thanks for all the support. I was having a melt down at the moment I wrote this...lol. It is super tiring doing everything on my own. I will never complain that dh doesn't do enough, because I truely miss everything he really does do to help out around here.

Cara--you are brave traveling alone with 2, I don't know if I could do it..lol.

Congratulations!

Can you quit your job now?

I am from Boston! Do you know what city you will be living in?

I wish I could quit know but I need to stay for the health coverage. He will not be eligible for coverage until september. So we will only have a lapse of 5 days. Otherwise I would love to quit now.

We will be moving to North Anover area, which is North of Boston. What area are you from?
