Over the last week my baby has become a full blown toddler. She is pretty much off of bottles completely. She is pretty much off formula and she is walking now.
The problem is she is starving! She went from a usual 3 (8oz) bottles a day to about 4 oz each of milk in sippy cup. Shes eating the same foods and same portions but she is starving by 7am. She always slept until 8am or 8:30.
Im really at a loss on what to do. She woke up at 7am starving. I gave her a cup of milk and she fell back asleep in my bed. This never ever happens but she is seriously starving. She acted hungry before bed so I gave her some applesauce and graham crackers with a cup of milk. So Im having to add in more snacks and its still not making her "full".
Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas? I know Im a BTDT momma, but I cant remember all these details about 4 years ago. LOL

I'm not btdt, but I think you're doing ok. Remember to trust your instincts, and remember to follow her lead. Try giving her weightier calories at mealtimes (ie. more protein and larger portions), and maybe she's just going to adjust her wake times. There's nothing wrong with snacking through the day, especially if they are healthy snacks and she's burning off lots of calories.
Grown ups should eat 6 times a day too. We just aren't burning off as many calories as we should to support 6 eating times. These little ones are definitely burning off enough to sustain that many snacks.

Maybe for her late night snack give her something heavier like a nutrigrain bar and some milk? Would she drink more milk if you let her? I know that you are supposed to not give a ton of milk, but I think in the transition phase there is nothing wrong with giving more milk, then work it down as she gets used to being completely off formula.

I'm thinking growth spurt and it will even out soon! Emmett does this for a week or so at a time and then settles back down. Yesterday, I'm pretty sure I fed him for approximately 4 hours straight, haha.

For the last couple of days, Juliana's been starving. The difficult part with her is that she's lactose intolerant so I can't give her cheese or yogurt. I'm stuck with the same few foods she likes - turkey, fruit, and cheerios. I really need to find other things for her to eat. I'm going to scramble some egg yolks today to see if she likes those. They should be very filling.

Kaileigh HATES eggs! I mean hates them!! I cant stand the smell of eggs so I never makes them but dh eats them and any time he's given them to her she makes a nasty face, gags, spits it out and give it to the dog. LOL...
She is just an eating machine today. She does get some cheese but not daily, she will eat beans if we eat them. I wont give peanut butter yet (personal preference). I guess I need to google and see how I can get her more protein to help her fill fuller. I just read that Toddlers need approx 16g protein a day, and I've added it up and she gets about 16-18oz of milk and I read 16oz a day is the target but shes on soy milk and there is 7g protein in 1 (8oz) cup. So she just needs protein in other areas.

What about almond butter? Or is it the same issue as peanut butter?
Anyway, I'm worried about the same thing once I stop formula. In the morning she is starving so I give her a bottle and then change her diaper, do my morning routine, and then give her breakfast. Without her formula, she's going to be super hungry I bet.

I was wondering the same thing. My google search was inconclusive.

I dont do peanut butter because of it being a choking hazard. I have no idea what the consistency of almond butter is but this sites said

Just to allay your fears some...Maggie's been eating peanut butter for months now. albeit on diced toast and not in large amounts. I never even thought about it being a greater choking hazard than anything else. You could spread it just as thinly as you spread butter.
You know your kid best, but if allergies aren't a concern, she might do just perfectly well with peanut butter.
