I never thought I would have desi in our room for 11months. but Jasmine has a HARD time sleeping in her room. we have been struggling for months. she wakes up in the middle of the night and comes in our room and sleeps on the floor or if we lock our door she will sleep in the hallway with her blanket and pillow. its to the point where im losing sleep b/c she wakes me up getting in our room. so thats why desi hasnt even slept in her comfy crib and has been in the PNP. Its def time to put her in the room. She's sleeping in the crib now but i had to rock her to bed and i dont normally do that. my question does anyone have your lo sleeping with an older sibling in their own room? if so how does it work? do they wake the baby up? do they go to bed at the same time? i need some help! Im going to go to the store and try to get some glow in the dark stars to put on the ceiling or something!

Noah shares his room with my oldest ds who is 6, they do good together, Noah has only woke K up a couple of times, but K has never woke him up. Usually Noah goes to bed before K and that works best. Naps are hardest because I make all my kids lay down for an hour in the afternoon because K doesnt like Noah to cry so he plays with him. But overall it works out good.

My girls also share a room and I've never had a problem with them waking each other up.

I have no idea.

Kaitlyn has been asking when sissy can sleep in her room with her. So I told her that when Kaileigh is big enough for a toddler bed, if she still wants her in her room, I will put them in the same room, and make Kaileigh's room the playroom. We'll see if she still wants her sister in her room when that time comes. Kaitlyn was 15 months when she went into a toddler bed but Im not sure if Kaileigh would be ready at that age. She's been more of a "baby" then Kaitlyn was.

In the future I'd like them to share a room as long as they are both ok with it, but I'll just have to wait and see what they want I guess.

Hope you figure it out. Let us know how you do it.

I moved Luca out of our room and into Noah's room at 7 months and it worked brilliantly for a while, but it was annoying trying to get them down to sleep at the same time because they would just giggle at each other. I'd have to put Luca to bed first wait for him to go to sleep, then put Noah to bed and hope he didn't cry or anything to wake Luca up. Anyways, Noah is like Jasmine and wants to be with me all night and I've given up and he sleeps with me now so technically they don't share anymore. I don't know, goodluck but it didn't really work for us. Hopefully your kids are heavier sleepers than mine and it works for you!

ok so I put desi down first. i bathe them together and explain to jas what was going to happen. today we bought them a fan (we sleep with 3 fans so i neededs the noise) a night light jas picked out and a light that puts starts on the ceiling. so I just put jasmine down and so far she didnt give me any trouble. i told her if she sleeps in her room for 5 days she will get the princess pool she saw at target. so i think thats why she didnt give me any trouble. I just hope she doesnt get out of her bed and try to come to my room in the middle of the night. please pray for us!!! haha. i really want this to work out!

I plan to move Holt into my older son's room when he's in a toddler bed. I'd love to do it now, but I don't think it would work right now. Holt still wakes during the night hungry sometimes, and my older son just started wearing regular underwear to bed instead of pullups. He gets up to pee even when he doesn't have to (*sigh*) so I doubt we'd get any sleep with them in the same room.
