Here's the video...I think this will work if I link it here? (Sorry it's long but I didn't feel like editing. At the very end, he finally goes down the full flight of stairs.)
YouTube - ‪Video 20‬‏
Emmett initially climbed all the way up the stairs literally the day after he started crawling at around 7 months. But then, he completely ignored them/wouldn't do them forever.
Well, he has finally mastered the stairs now. He can go up and down all the flights in our house. My DH was the one who taught him to turn around and go backwards down the stairs. I think I was too impatient.
It's super cute when I say "Lets go upstairs to get a diaper change" and he goes to the stairs and starts climbing!
For some reason, the fact that babies can do stairs seems crazy to me (especially going down.)
Anyone else have stair stories?

Cute! Emmett always face planted when he went down K's way...so he couldn't do them until he understood he had to turn around.

Im just waiting for Noah to start on the stairs, he stands there and looks up at them. Last night we were at a friends house and their stairs are shorter than ours and he almost got his leg up on the first one.

Maggie's still scoping them out. She's curious, interested. But she's stopping herself at the first one. She's still thinking about the standing and cruising on furniture thing too. She wants to, but she's just not confident enough yet.

Nope, we have wooden stairs and I'm terrified that Juliana's going to hurt herself badly on them! I won't let her try yet. I swear, my life would be easier if we just have carpet everywhere.

Arie mastered going up the stairs very soon after she started crawling...she hasn't even tried going down the stairs, probably because I don't let her. I'm like you Liz, I'm impatient...usually when she learns a new skill its because hubby or another family member teaches her lol.

WTG E! Well we don't have stairs, but for some reason she taught herself how to get off the couch!!! haha I was sitting on the couch a couple nights ago with her and she turned around, layed on her stomach and inched her way down!! I was in amazement, because NO ONE taught her this!!

I'm terrified of stairs, lol! I have horrible mommy anxiety about stuff like that. She can go up and down, but I have to be right beside her. I hardly ever let her do it though.

I love it! Juliana's always getting into the dog dish, too. What is it with babies and dog dishes?
