Does everyone know what they are getting the babies for their birthday present? I thought I knew but I am so undecided. I know that we are getting him a Yo Gabba Gabba play tent and we already got a bunch of clothes that were on sale at Crazy 8, but I don't know what to get him for his "big" gift.

There was a thread a week or 2 ago with tons of ideas/pictures and such. I'm not exactly sure how to find said thread but maybe someone else can link it here.

We got Emmett a sling bookcase for his room with his name on it:
Sling Bookshelf with Storage Bins for Kids - One Step Ahead Baby

I was thinking of this:

Little Tikes Endless Adventures Secret Garden Playhouse - Little Tikes - Toys "R" Us

He loves the playhouse at the park we go to!

Or This:

Sandy Lagoon Waterpark - Little Tikes

I went shopping back in March for a friend's baby's 1st birthday, and found this @ Target:

Amazon.com: B. Zany Zoo: Toys & Games

There were 2 on the shelf, and I thought it was so adorable, I bought both of them, with the intention of giving the other one to Leila for her 1st birthday. It's currently sitting in our closet, waiting for that time to come!

I was thinking of getting DJ a small slide for our little grass area but we really need to put our pool fence up before his birthday. Maybe something for inside too.

I'm going to get her this:

My mom has the Barnyard Friends one & she loves it. The little animals make sounds & she laughs & laughs.

And probably this toy box. I know my parents & in-laws are getting her toys, so I decided to get something to put them in!

We gave Maggie a sock monkey in a box, books, and the fisher price tea set. We reaklly didn't go overboard on gifts. We spent a lot on the cake, and most of it is in the freezer now. But it was worth it, and that kinda feels like a big gift. Especially if it's something we keep up for the next few years, it will have to be part of her gift.

We're going to get her a swing set when we move, but it may be the big gift she gets for her next birthday. It won't make sense to put up a swing set before winter hits.

I really think my big problem is, she isnt my first so we have all the outdoor stuff like swing set, sand table, pool, riding toys, we did have a playhouse but it was never used so we're not buying another.

She has all of Kaitlyn baby/toddler toys we kept, She has a toy box.

I really think Im just going to buy her new a bedding set, and books and pj's. I know...BORING MOM! lol

Since the last thread, we have picked up about 5 more books. I think Stefanie shared a book on my FB wall called "Puppy Love" -- it had a dog named Bella so we had to get that! I want more of those books, they are a good sized board book but not too big.

Wooden xylophone
(Amazon.com: Plan Toy Oval Xylophone: Toys & Games)

Wooden maracas
(Amazon.com: Schylling Toys Wooden Maraca SOLD INDIVIDUALLY: Toys & Games)

Melissa & Doug puzzles
(Amazon.com: Melissa & Doug Large Shapes Jumbo Puzzle: Toys & Games)

Melissa & Doug giraffe
(Amazon.com: Melissa and Doug Giraffe Grasping Toy: Toys & Games)

Corolle Babipouce doll
(Amazon.com: Corolle Babipouce (Babipouce Candy Pink): Toys & Games)
I got one of these for my friend's daughter when she turned 1, she loved it. They are so so soft!

DH is totally into us only getting her wooden toys now, lol

We didn't go overboard. We got him a singing nighttime bear thingy because he loves music, and then a push music thingy he can sit with it on the floor or flip it up and walk with it. He actually picked out his gifts, I took him to Target and we bought them based on his reaction and what made him most interested/excited lol. We also bought a cake from Publix, a Caterpillar cake and we are getting a smasher cake free.

I'm in the same boat I still have so many great toys from my first. I'm just going to ask somehow for everyone to bring a book for Dylan with something nice written on the inside and a book to be donated to primary childrens hospital. My friends will all buy stuff so I think it would be easier and cheaper for them to just buy 2 books.

I love Melissa & Doug and just started noticing that "Plan Toy" brand a little more. There are lots of those little specialty toy stores here (but no Toys R' Us) so you can find more of that easier. DH's whole thing is he thinks it's neat that the wooden stuff we'll probably hold on to and pass down to our future grandkids!

We were going to get him a water table but Caleb is just now starting to try to pull up. Does anyone know of a good you that promotes pulling up/ walking that is sturdy?
