So, Maggie's birthday party was a lot of fun. Her actual birthday fell on Friday, but we had her party on Saturday. So much work, so much fun! So glad it's over. I'm still not done cleaning up the carnage - and we didn't have a big party, and it was only her and one other child. I can't imagine having 20 kids or more. I think those parties will end up looking a heck of a lot different than this one did!
Waking Maggie up with the Birthday song and the camera. She loves to be serenaded!
She wasn't quite as happy with me by dinner time.
But we did a cupcake for her real birthday - and that made her pretty happy again. 
We had a couple banners, but this one was more for Daddy who's honestly struggled with all the estrogen in our home this past year.
Her Cake. (not shown - we also did a candy buffet and had a 1st birthday keepsake teddy bear decorating this table).

Cupcake SMASH!!!!!
And finally - while chillaxing in her ballpit, she had to blow her nose. Cake = everywhere.

It's Maggie's own ball pit. I got it at Toys R Us. I think I got it for about $20. I know you can find them cheaper in the states. When my niece was young I bought her like 2 or 3 and sent them home.

Thanks everyone! Ya, we had fun...but I can't tell you how tired I am. After all the fun Friday and Saturday, DH and I had a date night and went to see Supertramp downtown on Sunday night. lol...big mistake doing a date night after a busy weekend like this. I've still got party carnage hanging out on the dining room table and on the patio. lol
I was pleased with the cake but I found it very dense. I like my cakes a lot fluffier than that - so we'll be choosing a new baker next year. ehem...maybe I'll even try my own hand at it. (yipes)
Dress was a walmart buy - we got it around Easter when they had their easter dresses on sale. Actually her great grandma picked a couple of them up, and one of her grandmas gave her a third one yesterday. I almost feel like we need to throw a party every couple of months just so she gets an opportunity to wear each of them...hahaha.

She is FULL of personality. That little move with her nose she learned at about a month old. Her nose was too tiny for even the infant qtips to clean it out, so I taught her how to blow a bit to help me out - now she does it all the time, whether she really needs to blow or not. She also inherited both our stubborn streaks. And loves to laugh. So, she'll laugh for no reason at all just to hear the laughter. It's hilarious.
