For the past 2 weeks, my LO has gotten really rambunctious while in the tub. I still use the blow up tub. He is all over the place, he tries to pull on the faucet & soap dish (it's mounted to the wall). He keeps trying to stand up and wont lay back long enough for me to rinse his hair. I'm not sure if this is normal or if something spooked him out and he just wants to get out? He doesn't cry, but sometimes he will lift his arms towards me like he wants to be picked up. I do give him different toys each day but they only keep his attention for a few minutes. Last night he slipped and i couldnt catch him fast enough, he hit his mouth\chin on the corner of the faucet and really freaked me out - his gums were then bleeding where his tooth is breaking thru.
Do you have any special way of rinsing your LO's hair? Do you use a visor and does it work?

Oh yeah its a circus act here. She went from not liking the big tub to loving it. She does circles and the minute she sees the cup of water to rinse her hair she takes off towards the other end. For her its a game because she laughs as she takes off..lol
We had an incident last night too in the tub. She was trying to stand and slipped as I was trying to rinse off her back. And she now has a small bruise on her cheek bone.
But so far since she doesn't like to lay down or to have the water from the faucet run on her head I use a cup to rinse her hair and my hand to keep it from her eyes. It would be a lot better if she got the concept to tilt her head back but well ya know..lol

I've been having the same issue, so I rinse his hair the old way, I wrap his body in a towel and put his head under the faucet in the sink.

I use the kitchen sink. Clean it out good and then plop his chunk butt in it. I use the hose sprayer to wash his hair

Tommy still stays seated for the most part but I am still using the bottom part of the baby tub. He really doesn't have much room to climb out. Tommy really doesn't have that much hair so usually rubbing the wash cloth on his head rinses it well....lol

Same problem here. She fell in the tub and bumped her head the other night before I could catch her. To rinse her hair I just wipe her head a few times with a wash cloth. Sher doesn't have much hair yet so it works OK.

Miranda does not want to lie down to rinse her hair either. It's normal.

Holden's all over the place too. I bought one of those removable shower heads hoping it makes rinsing his hair easier, but I can't install it til the weekend.
He likes to stand in the tub a lot and reach for things so when he's reaching and looking up, I pour the water on his hair...I'll admit, he gets water in his face a lot but he doesn't really mind, i always wipe his hair back with my hand so the water stops dripping in his face

This sounds scary to me to read about all the falls. Stevie is constantly trying to stand up in the tub and grab and things. I just use a wash cloth and wring water out over his head.

Omair is all over the place, too. He's fallen a couple of times but nothing major. Our tub has a bottom with texture on it so it's naturally slip-resistant (which is super nice). When he stands up I let him so it's not a struggle, and as he explores I wash his legs, butt, etc. while I support him with the other arm.
As far as rinsing his hair/head, I've made sure to let the water fall over his face since the beginning so he's always used to it. As soon as it runs over his face I wipe my hand over it immediately each time to get the water off. He's always been fine with it that way, and I'm hoping it will aid in lessening any fear of water when he learns to swim.

Gabe drives me NUTS in the bath... I have started, whenever he stands up and gets too dangerous.. I put my hands out and say 'Out?'... As in, 'If you are going to stand up and jump around , its time to get out'... He loves his bath so much it has eased the 'scariness' of it ... Probably a big meanie but he has slipped a few times and its scary!!!

Its a circus in that tub, lol. She wants to sit, kick, splash, stand, flip, etc. It's getting harder and harder as they get older and want to explore...no solution here.

I Tend do Bathe her in the sink when I come to my moms house since It's a dual sink with more space. She only tries to climb out if I am rinsing her hair with too much water
.
At ozzy's we are using the baby tub because everytime we have placed her in the bathtub she starts trying to climb out or throwing water all over and In the end I have to get in there with her too and wet all my clothes just to hold her.
