Monday*~In The Past, your childhood, where you grew up, your friends, college, just everything you'd want to share about your PRE-MOMMY life!! Would love to see photos!
**most of my pictures are still in Arizona in storage, so I'll make due with what I have.
I was born in March 1973 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Terry and Becky. The oldest of 3 children, I have two brothers. Here's me at 6 months --still an only child. Y'all know how that goes---a billion pictures taken of your first born.

I was a Daddy's Girl for certain and am so, so blessed he was mine.

In 1979, we moved to the Arizona desert--my parents, myself (age 6) and my little brother (age 3). My youngest brother was born in 1981 in Arizona.
We moved in July 1979, so we spent a lot of time like this:

When I was a little girl I wanted to be a lawyer, a teacher, and a singer.
I always did well in school,I skipped 2nd grade and joined band in 4th grade playing the clarinet--which I played all through college as well.

3rd grade, 1981:
(i'm on the far right)

I graduated from high school in 1990 --complete with big hair that continued for wayyy too many years. I also was a country music lover and Garth Brooks was my favorite:

(I was in a wedding in Missouri...which was really far from home!)
I went to

where I majored and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Elementary Education.
(This actually was a 15 year journey. I went for 3 years, left for 10 and back for 2 to graduate in 2005. I skipped 2nd grade, but I made up for it here haha)
In 1995, just 2 months after I turned 22, my dad died suddenly from a heart attack.
This was our last family photo the month before:

A year later, I moved to Nashville to pursue my dream of singing:

I met a lot of people, sang a lot of demos, wrote with some of the best writers in Nashville and it was the best decision ever---moving 1500 miles from everything I had ever known...and not knowing a soul.
Obviously, I did not become a famous superstar country singer.
3 years later, (still in Tennessee) I got married and had my first born...he is now 11 1/2.
As a 38 year old woman, I still love the law, teaching and singing.
I just utilize music in my classroom and eventually will return to law school to become the lawyer my little self always dreamed of.

Wow, I love the 90's hair. There is a quite a bit age gap between your first and (at least for now) last baby.

What made you interested in pursuing law? Where do you see yourself going?
Also, I'm cracking up about your 15 year journey for college.
When you were singing in Nashville, did you have to work as well?
