Well Toby was supposed to have an operation on his eye last week. Just incase anyone doesn't know/remember etc, he was born with a lump in his eye. It hasn't grown and doesn't appear to be harming him, but they want to take it out. He can't tell us yet if its affecting his sight and stuff too so its important to get rid and see what it actually is. Here is a pic of him, where you can see it. If you look at his left eye, in the corner near his tearduct. Like I say its not grown and was much more prominent when he was born. I'll find a comparison pic.

Here he is on the way home from the hospital, I've tried to zoom so you can see his eye more

Here he is about a month ago, you can still tell its there

Well anyway, we took him to hospital for 7am. Checked in and he was all sorted, one of the first on the list. We sent him down to theatre at about 10am, and Chris and I went off to get some food in the canteen, try and take our minds off it. We had been there less than 10 minutes when they call us to come back upstairs. So we ran up, panicking, thinking the worst. Turns out he had thrush in his throat and when they went to put the tube down, they wouldn't do it. If the thrush had got into his lungs it couldn't have been fatal. They think its because he was on antibiotics a few weeks ago for a horrible cough. So now we have to wait for another date to come through. I was hoping to get it all out the way and sorted so we can move on. They don't know when they can fit him in again, so we are going to keep ringing them to see if we can get in from a cancellation.

That definitely sucks! It's so stressful having your baby's surgery looming over you; that's the last thing you need. I hope you are able to get the thrush cleared up & get him in for his surgery quickly.

BTW: Toby is such a cutie! I could just squeeze those little cheeks.

That sucks. :-( Sorry you got delayed. I hope your little one's thrush clears up soon. That is not fun stuff and I'm sure it's painful for him.
