I'm so frustrated. I just got the Nuvaring from my doctor. I put it in last night and have now spent the last 12 hours constantly pushing it back into place. This is not really any better than the pill if I have to mess with it everyday! I'm about to go run to the gym and weight lift. If it inches out again, I'm just going to throw the whole thing away.

Anyone else ever have this issue? Again, just SO frustrated with birth control right now. (I was on the mini pill before but unless you take it literally within about 15 mins every day, it's not effective...so that was a fail. And I can't take the regular pill because I'm still breastfeeding.)

Sounds like I may have to go with the IUD, but it's this huge "process" at our clinic. First, I have to set up a consultation. Then they have to special order it in, then I have to have a PAP, then I have to do a pregnancy test. Then I set up another appointment to get it inserted. So basically, it will take weeks! (which also means I probably have to do something in the interim.)

Yeah, I had some issues with it coming out; mainly during a work-out (really inconvenient because I was active-duty Army at the time) and worst of all while DTD. That was so very annoying.

I had it pre-baby, so I don't even want to think about what it would be like post-babies.

I'm kinda ticked the ob/gyn didn't mention/ask anything about working out when I got it. I mean, to me, that would be a HUGE factor....especially weigh lifting. I ended up not even trying to wear it to the gym. I did a few practice squats before I left the house and it was already out. Stupid thing. FAIL.

Im sorry. I guess all I can say is all BC works differently for each. I truly hope you consider the IUD though. With as active as you are, Im quite positive it would be good for you. It is a long process to have in inserted but if your body accepts it, it's a great long term BC and you wouldnt have to worry about it. Good luck. If you have any other ?'s about mirena, I can try to answer them.

I didn't have that problem with the nuvaring. Is it pushed up high enough? Like do you squat down when ur inserting it? (sorry sounds kinda vulgar, lol)

Why not try the depo shot? It is safe during breastfeeding and you go every 3 mos for a shot.
