Background info: I've been on the mini pill since 6weeks postpartum, I am breastfeeding, but baby has of course been eating solids for a few months.

Okay, at 10 months pospartum I had a real period. Like 6 days, heavy, regular period. I assumed that since my period was back, and I was on the mini pill, it would be back for good. Is that faulty reasoning? The next month I had some crazy dental work and missed a few pills, so I spotted sometime in the middle of the cycle, and now I've completely missed when the second cycle should have come (based on an assumed 28 day cycle, my period should have been here on June 10.)

I took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it was negative. Is it possible for your cycle to come back and not be regular right away?

Thanks, friends!

From what I've heard it is normal for it to come back and be irregular if you're breastfeeding. I'm not sure how the mini pill factors in.

I thought I had my first pp AF a couple of weeks ago, but it was so light I'm still not sure if it was spotting or the real thing.

I got first pp af at 6 mos pp and I'm still bf and af has been very irregular since it started, it can go from 28 days - 40 days. But I'm also not using any form of bc.

Well, I'm not breastfeeding but I officially went off the pill 3 months ago. Now I'm getting spotting every 3 weeks followed by a moderately heavy period. It's annoying and concerning me which is one of the reasons I'm getting my thyroid checked and getting back into the OB get things figured out. I was super excited to get off the pill for good but getting more frequent periods and not knowing when they're going to show up is beyond frustrating...
