Sorry I've been MIA for awhile, Lyla and I were in Mexico last week!! Anyway, Lyla was diagnosed with ANOTHER ear infection right before we left for our trip so the pedi referred us to an ENT. The appointment is for tomorrow afternoon. Please say a pray for Lyla. I will post how it went when we get home.

The verdict is in: TUBES. Lyla will be getting tubes next Monday morning.

The ENT said that it is a very simple procedure that only takes about 15 minutes. I opted for local anesthetic (drops in her ears), then they make a tiny incision in the ear drum and put in the tube. They showed me the tube and it is about as thick as mechanical pencil lead. They said Lyla will feel like herself in less than an hour. The only part that she will feel is the drops which they compared to getting an immunization shot. They don't let parents in the room during the procedure so I just hope they take great care of my baby.

our ENT appointment is Tuesday and they said they are doing surgeries in July
(one ENT i called said they only had appointments starting in Sept, absolutely no way)
My ped said his son got them done and they were in and out in ten minutes
