What brand(s) do you use for your LOs? We discovered on our trip to Mexico that Lyla is allergic to Coppertone Baby sunscreen. We are going to be in Minnesota/Wisconsin in about a week and will need sunscreen and bug spray (the mosquitoes are out of control!). Any recommendations?

We use Burts bees for bug spray (found at any organic grocery and sometimes other places.) Go to burtsbees.com for locations.

Sunscreen we use Aveeno 50 SPF for the entire family. It comes in a beige and pink bottle. Works well.

GL!

We use water babies for sunscreen. For bug spray, I had an all natural one for California baby, which worked. But last dr visit she told me not to use any kind of bug spray on him. She recommended getting avon skin so soft and the (gold) Listerine and mixing it half and half in a spray bottle and it works great. I am waiting on my skin so soft from avon to try it out.

I use the Johnson & Johnson 45SPF for babies. It has not the best reviews, b/c it absorbs very slowly and the skin is very white from it, but it works well for keeping the sun off her. I don't use bug spray so I am no help w/ that. What about a mosquito net that you can put over the stroller? I like the Listerine-skin-so-soft idea.

I do have a mosquito net for the stroller that I had forgotten about (thanks for reminding me). But, we will be spending quite a bit of time in and around the lake, so I need bug spray too!!

We use Coppertone Waterbabies Sunscreen Lotion Pure & Simple, the pharmacist recommended it over the Avenno baby, and it has way less ingredients. We had issues with other infant sunscreens but not this one.

I got the California Baby bug spray. I'm going to do a test spot and I'll let everyone know.

We use Neutrogena pure and free baby sunscreen (SPF 60+). I use it on both myself and Claire, and it seems to work great!
