I put the little guy down for a nap yesterday and he started rolling around, trying to get himself settled.

I left the room and everything was fine. A couple of minutes later I heard some crying. I thought he would settled down and fall asleep but the crying only got worse.

I walked in the room and the poor little guy got his chubby thigh caught in between the crib slats. I felt so terrible! He looked terrified and he was in pain.

I finally got it out and then I cuddled him to sleep

I don't want to put the bumpers on because I am afraid he will try to stand on them. Any other ideas so that this doesn't happen again?

I've heard a lot of people use and like the breathable bumpers. They are mesh, collapse if he stands on them (so he can't fall out) but will protect his poor little feet and legs from getting into the slats.

I'm glad you were able to get Stevie unstuck relatively quickly and that he is ok!!!

I have the mesh bumpers on Lyla's crib. They have worked really well for us.

This happened to Alivia too the other day during her nap time too. She got her little thigh stuck in the bars. As soon as I got it out though, she turned right over and went back to sleep.

So glad Steve is okay!

Poor guy.

It happened to Rosie as well 1 of the reasons we have the bumpers still in place. But they collapse when she stands on them. Guess we don't have them tied tight enough or something. But outside of that I am not sure what else on how to prevent it.

That would scare me too!! Glad it didn't ruin his nap that much, we still have the bumpers and they don't help that much since I still see her legs popping out at night.

Poor baby! Miranda has done that before and I do have a bumper pad. She just manages to stick her legs out over it. Glad he's okay.
