It is beautiful there! Cant wait to see some more pics! Im not sure if I would be ok with one of my parents being my teacher too. LOL Does he still teach or is he retired now?

It sounds wonderful. I have really enjoyed reading about you. I'd love to visit Canada someday. The furthest north I have ever been was Washington State, but I didn't get to do any sight-seeing.

It was kind of weird ..... I had to refer to him as "sir" just like all the other kids 
He is retired now - has been for quite some time (my dad is 69 now). However, he did end of leaving elementary teaching and moved to high school, so I ended up once again at the same school as him when I went to high school. He didn't teach me there though!

That's such a cute love story. It reminds me of something from the move Diary of Bridget Jones, lol. Cape Breton is absolutely beautiful, and I must put it on my list of places to travel to one day. Can't wait to hear more!

OMG, that is an amazing story about how you met your DF! Thank goodness someone in your office had courage. :-) I also love your scenery pic. It reminds me of Alaska.

Awesome love story! I had no idea you wasnt "legally" married. Im a full believer you dont need a paper to show you love each other. Thats why we truly celebrate our dating anniversary more then our wedding.

Yeah- I did. I told them I could still feel it. They hadn't even got down to cutting the muscle when the real pain hit. Immediately the doctor stopped doing what she was doing and told them they had to put me under. At first I couldn't figure out if what I was feeling was the uncomfortable pulling, etc they tell you that you will experience. Once they really started to cut though I KNEW it wasn't right. I was crying so hard -- trying to negotiate with them not to put me under. They called a second anaesthesiologist into the room as well.
I'll tell ya, I"m not looking forward to the next time.

Your story with Bob is so romantic and amazing!!!! Such a neat story to have to share with everyone!!
I can't believe you only gained 17lbs in pregnancy!! What actually causes IUGR? Do they know? Glad to hear that Sydney was perfect/healthy.
Question (as it is almost midnight): What made you guys decide to get engaged? As opposed to just being together and not engaged? I asked because I know lots of people who are just "together" and lots who are married but very few who are in the middle (engaged) for very long. So I'm curious!!

ohmygosh Cape Breton IS gorgeous!  I wanna go! Congratulations to your parents on 39 years  I love that salty ocean smell. I will eventually end up near it, I've known it since I was little!
Love that you were validictorian  I can't drink vodka either. But uh we drank vodka and red bull. Not a great combo  I CAN believe or not drink red bull again but it took years.
I have chills reading about how you and Bob met  Were you embarrassed? Oh my gosh I would have died  Congrats on 12 years
Totally laughed that you googled "i'm pregnant now what?"
I can't believe you could feel them. That was always my fear  I'm so sorry. But in the end it was worth it, Sydney is adorable ♥
Other than Buffalo for the 49ers, have you been to other places in the states?

Great question!
I honestly really don't know. I think we really did plan on getting married in the beginning..it just kept getting pushed to the backburner. Now I really just want to go to Vegas and get married

OMG - yeah! I work for a large American Company. I am based out of the Canadian office but travel for work (my territory is NYC and NJ).
All for work I've been to:
Las Vegas (nice bonus work trip!)
San Diego (our corporate HQ are in Carlsbad ...just north)
LA
NYC
Jersey
Boston (many times)
Providence
South Beach Miami (another bonus work trip)
Orlando
Palm Springs
San Fran
Dallas
Philly
DC
probably missing quite a few in there ... I travel monthly (or am supposed to) to NYC/NJ area. Every few months we have meetings as well (usually in Boston)

If you look up IUGR it says a lot of cases are caused by smoking or doing drugs during pregnancy (which I NEVER did). The others happen randomly. I was worried that it would happen next time but I was assured that just b/c you have an IUGR baby does not mean that it will for sure happen next time. They did tell me they will monitor more next time, but that's about it. I'm so happy everything turned out OK
