I am very proud to say that Ethan is sleeping through the night in his own crib in his own room! He was SO easy to transition that it's scary! Neither he, hubby, or I were sleeping well these past few months. He was just unhappy and wanted his own space. He has been sleeping without a peep. We lay him down awake, he sticks his binky in his mouth, grabs his blankie, and goes to sleep. I actually had to wake him up this morning before I left for work (I can't go to work without saying hi to all my babies in the morning).

He has his 1 year old check up on Thursday, I'm so excited. He is babbling so much, he is saying mama, dada, kitty, and I think "baby" and "baba" for bottle. He is standing without assistance, but has yet to take a step. I think he could do it he's just scared. He will walk very quickly with his rolling walker toy thing, but he feels he hast o hold onto something. I'm sure he'll be walking soon though.

I can't believe our babies are growing up this quickly!

That's awesome!!! I haven't tried my daughter in the crib but...I just KNOW it won't work. LOL. I guess I could try but last time (several months ago), it was such a disaster I'm afraid to try again. I'm just going to try her on a mattress on the ground in her own room. I REALLY hope she takes after Ethan and sleeps!! I wouldn't mind co-sleeping with her for a bit longer but at the same time, I would love to transition her semi-smoothly into her own space.

I thought for SURE he would have a problem transitioning but he didn't. I'm really surprised, so try it, you never know until you do again!

Like I said on facebook both my girls sleep 100x better in their own room and crib. When I did try co-sleeping with kaileigh as a baby she hated it and woke up all the time. Some babies/kids just need their own space. Dont get me wrong, I loved the cuddling but her and I sleeping better is more important for the both of us.

Wow! I'm so jealous! What a dream scenario, puts binky in, grabs blanket and rolls over, nightnight!

Did you do anything to teach him that or has he always been that way?

I am curious about that too. Gabe sleeps mostly through the night but still has times where he will wake at night. I am trying to get him out of the habit of having a bottle in the middle of the night.

The crazy thing is he's never slept through the night. NEVER! And he was drinking upwards of 16oz of milk a night. I put him in his crib and since night one, he's just gone to sleep and SLEPT. Its crazy. My husband and I are in awe every night lol! He is the easiest baby ever to go from co-sleeping to his own crib, especially consider he's the oldest I've transitioned (my son was out of my bed at 10 mos and my daughter was out of my bed by 5 mos).
