Does anyone's LO have a fear of falling? I noticed about a week ago that Hunter would be stading up against the couch, or toy bin and after a few minutes he would start yelling and complaining. It didn't take me long to realize he wanted help getting down. He doesn't want to bend his knees and fall to his bum, or bend his knees until he sits on the floor. It's at the point where London (my 2.5yr old) will see him complaining and say "I'll get Hunter". She then holds him from behind, around his tummy, just under his armpits, and gently pulls backwards to lower him to his bum. She is a clever lil lass! I was right there the first few times she did it, to make sure nothing went wrong. Anyhow.....lol...so does anyone else notice their LO won't let themselves fall to their bum?

IT IS VERY AGGRIVATING to drop everything and go help him down to his bum.

Ethan certainly has a fear of falling and I'm 100% positive that is why he's not walking yet. He's too scared to "let go" of something, for fear he will fall.

Yep, Charlotte did that for a little bit. Annoying, i agree. Finally one day i "ignored" her for a little while...she finally started getting down on her own. Lol. Now she body slams her stuffed animals. Lol

LOL I know its aggravating but somehow reading it makes it sound so adorable. I actually think Arie was like this too, but now she is used to "plopping". She has learned to fall smack dab on her butt and doesn't think twice, but it was a process getting there.

Maggie is like this sometimes. It really depends on what she's hanging on to. Our bed is very high off the ground. She's tall enough to reach up for it, but when standing her arms are above her head. That's when she cries out for help. When she's hanging onto the table or ottoman where she's taller than what she's hanging onto, she's fine.

Ty is definately is afraid of falling, and I am convinced that is why he refuses to take even one step also. I am very ok with him being cautious
