Colby has always eaten everything I've put in front of him: meat, fruits, veggies...everything. The last few days he is spitting out what I feed him. Even the good stuff like peaches and watermelon. Even if he feeds himself with the fork he ends up spitting it out. He's been living on yogurt and applesauce and dry cereal as those seem to be the only things he wants to eat. I don't think it's a texture or mouth pain issue since he's fine crunching on cereal and he ate most of a fig newton earlier (but it was my cookie so he really wanted it).

I'm wondering if this is a new game to him because he's not exactly spitting it out, he's more like opening his mouth and pushing it out with his tongue and letting it fall. And half the time he laughs about it. It's just frustrating because he's just not consuming much. I feel like yogurt and cheerios does not a diet make, KWIM?

Has anyone gone through this? Someone tell me it's only going to last a few days...

I haven't gone through it, but you're right it does sound like a game. Is he showing interest in food you're eating only? If so, try feeding him from your plate and see if he keeps it in his mouth. Otherwise, try not to sweat it much. If he gets hungry, he'll eat. He's in good health and happy so I wouldn't worry about it much, I'm sure it'll pass!

I notice that my LO doesn't want left overs or something that I fed him a day or two prior so I try to be creative and space things out. He loves blueberries and eats a ton on one day, then the next day he throws them on the floor. The only things he will always eat is bread and pasta. Can you try mixing other fruits inside the yogurt? My LO also wants to eat anything he sees me or DH eating.
