I got to take time off work today to take Ethan to his 1yo appointment. My son saw a different doctor than his regular doctor because she is out of town on family matters. He weighed 25lbs and is almost 32" tall. He is doing well developmentally. Only thing is he may have to have surgey on his "thingy" because he has whats called a penile adhesion...his circumcision has reattached on one side and we can't get it to unattach except surgically. Poor lil man!

Other than that he had 3 shots, did great with all he stopped screaming as soon as I picked him up. He had no fever and no fussiness either. A real relief since he's had two reactions to shots and he still has a spot on the leg where he got the one that made him scream for hours (called the Dtap scream), because his brain swelled. Ugh!

Anyways, his well check went well overall!

25 lbs! Gabriel was only 19 at his 1 year checkup. Glad the appointment went well and sorry to hear that he has to have surgery. When do they want to get that done? Is that something that has to be done? I would be one nervous momma.

Yay for a good appointment. My nephew had that happen when he was a baby, he had surgery and is just fine. When are they wanting to get it done?

I actually want it done as soon as possible, so he doesn't remember it honestly. But I have to make an appointment with his regular pedi when she gets back.
