Ok smart ladies, explain this one to me....

Today, I met this pretty cool girl at a baby playgroup. We found each other originally through an online group for our city. Anyway, she wrote me through the other online forum after the play date and sent me her Facebook profile link.

So I was thinking "cool", it's so easy to communicate with someone on Facebook. But, when I went ot her profile, I see her picture but there is no where you can request to be a friend. Instead, all information is locked down at it says "XX only shares some profile information with everyone". I have seen that saying before but I have NEVER seen a profile where you couldn't click the Friend request.

Please explain!!! I'm so confused.

Bizarre! Interested to see if someone knows. Did you refresh the page etc?

I've seen it, and I think it's her (Privacy Settings > Connecting on Facebook > Send you friend requests). It's probably not set at Everyone.

Yeah it is a privacy setting on her end. If you send her your information she can request you to friend and then you can be her friend on there.

You will need to ask her to friend you. She has her setting super private.

Wow....that's super locked down. What's the point of being on Facebook if no one can request to friend you. Strange.
