Most of us have known each other since the very beginning of our pregnancies, some of you came in the middle of the pregnancy and some at the last trimester Then we have a few that joined us after our tiny babies were born.

With that said, what have you learn the last year and 9 months? Have you learned anything that you didnt know? Have you done things you never thought you would try or like? Has your parenting style changed from what you thought it would be? Have you not done something if your LO that you insist on doing with your next one?

Tell us how you feel about this room since you began coming

I haven't learned anything because I already knew everything about babies and children....

Let's see... I've spent a lot more money then I normally would have because Holly is always posting awesome toys and gadgets that I have to run out and buy right away. Stacey makes the best leg warmers so I have had to buy some of those. Of course I had to order Caleb an amber necklace and an Ergo for myself. Oh, and thanks to Michele I had to get a baby K'tan.

In all seriousness, I've been greatful to have a place to come to vent, ask questions, and make friends. When I was freaking out that Caleb wasn't sitting up yet it was reassuring to learn that he wasn't alone. I've learned about cloth diapering (not that I'm brave enough to try it yet), how to become more green, avoiding different chemicals, and that even though some of us may parent differently we are able to help each other out. Oh, and I've actually had a chance to meet some of you in person.

I am addicted to this PR...you guys aren't getting rid of me any time soon. LMAO

Oh...and I'm glad I'm in this PR because we have the cutiest babies out off all the other PR's LOL

I have learned so much, and to be honest I've done more things, and bought more things too. I never wore my first, but I did use a moby and a baby carrier with Kaileigh, it was a lifesaver! I attempted to co-sleep (didnt work for us) but I did love it, even though dh was against it. Baby-legs...never even heard of them with my first and now Im obsessed with making them even made my neighbors little girl some. Teething necklace same thing, never heard of until JM. I did some cloth and plan to do it fully next time. I've learned so much more about vaccinations, and I consider myself a mix of traditional parenting and AP parenting, which to be honest I hate that they even have labels. I've learned much more about BFing, and will make an effort to try more next time. I've learned so much more about car seat safety from this board.
I really do love this group. We have had our ups and downs but I think we've done pretty good about it to be honest.

this just made my heart swell

I didn't cloth my other kids and it wasn't until this board and more recently that I actually went forth and did it. I've always wanted but I just needed that push I guess I LOVE it! Kenna only wears disposables when we go back to Indiana!

I didn't know about teething necklaces either!

I've learned more than the other 2 but I also think that just goes with more kids you have too.

I've met some pretty awesome mamas (Heather, Michele and Shannon) and hope to meet more!

I love everyone I'm so glad to have you all and can't wait to continue watching our babies grow up together. Just wish we could all do it together, here, at my house

I learned that I didn't have to do everything my "old school" doctors tell me to do, ie wean at one year, let baby cry it out, etc, and I don't have to feel mommy guilt over co-sleeping or waiting a little longer to introduce solids.

And my baby's exquisite fashion, I have all of you ladies to thank for- baby legs, tutus, flowers and bows!

I did want to try a Moby, but never got around to doing that. Maybe next time?

I absolutely adore this PR!! There have been so many other DDCs and PRs that are faaaar too opinionated with BF vs. FF, and other such topics. We have a really great balance of support regardless of those who CD or use sposies, and those who vaccinate, or circumsize. We don't have to agree with eachother but we don't preach either. I really enjoy how people inform and help rather than preach and push. My other PR is tight, but there are still a lot of preachy Mamas. Love them still, but it can make me step away for a while.

I have really appreciated a safe place to vent, share, and support one another. Although I was there at the beginning, briefly, and have since disappeared again a little (going back to work and transitioning) I still really enjoy popping and and seeing all your gorgeous little.....ahem ahem...toddlers!!!

I love you ladies!!

I love this PR! We don't have the drama that I've seen in other PR/DDC type forums. I love that I feel safe meeting people and hanging out, and I have never felt that way before.

You ladies are teh awesome.

I Love Love Love this PR too. I'm so glad I've gotten to "meet" so many helpful moms and I feel like I really know a lot of you and talk about you ladies and your babies all the time IRL.

I can't imagine not having the opportunity to pick the brains of so many different mommies with different parenting styles. I've learned to not stress as much about so many things because I've realized that babies and families are all so different and have different needs. I know that there's usually at least one other mommy here dealing with the same thing I am or doing the same things I am doing and that's a great comfort.

I don't think I ever would have started CD'ing if I didn't know so many mommies online (and later IRL) who did it and could show me the ropes. I'm so glad we did, even though DH still hates it.

Like Shannon said, even though I thought I knew enough about BF, I know I will try harder next time and hope for a different outcome. And I know that when the time comes (years from now hopefully) you all will be there for me.

I also love the overall lack of drama and preachiness here. I know even if I disagree with someone I don't have to worry about it being a whole big thing or being disrespected or anything.

And I love that I know a lot more mommies now who will be having more babies soon who I can live vicariously through for the next couple years!

Ditto on the living vicariously thing, Michele. I don't plan on having any more babies, but I do love love love all things baby, pregnancy, birth related. I can't wait to hear about the new babies coming and those who will be conceived soon, I bet!

I got my first Ergo thanks to you ladies! I love love love love it! I brag about it to everyone. My sister keeps hinting that I'll be done with it when she'll want to use it for her baby. No way! Back off Lady! LOL! It's so comfortable and was perfect for when I didn't want to use my Moby anymore.

I got super addicted to Etsy thanks to all the references here. Um....maybe not such a good thing, but I have some super cute diapers now that some WAHMs made! LOL!

I'll write more later....gotta run!

Ditto. Well, actually I wasn't planning on doing any of those things regardless of what the doctor said but I was pleasantly surprised to find I'm far from the only one who feels that way.

This board helped me discover that Juliana has a milk protein sensitivity, and that was huge!

I've also learned what to expect (to a certain degree) with teething, illnesses, etc.

While this board has been 99% good, the 1% bad is that I used to feel really bad when Juliana didn't crawl or babble because I'd read about all of the babies that did. If I wasn't involved in this board I may not have even known she was late. But now she's caught up on those things and an early walker.

I also love having a place to vent and read what other moms are going through.

This is a great place, I love that we have mommies of all ages and with children of all ages that can help answer questions not only for our babies but also for our older ones.

I love seeing all the cute products that people share here and keep thinking I need to get that.

It's also great that we support one another in spite of our differences. I hope one day to be able to meet up with some of you.

Oh, something I've learned.. that all babies are different in their growth and development.. and that it's ok that Ali is tiny.

This PR has taught me loads, and I love it. I don't always have time to post or read all the threads, but everyone is so supportive of everyone else and their decisions as a parent. I had some opinionated mamas in my other PR and sometimes I would have to log off because I didn't want to be involved in the drama, but this place is brilliant!!
