and i don't mean the 4th of july kenna wants to do everything herself and have everything like we do. she will NOT eat food off her highchair tray. she demands a plate, spoon and a fork or she wont' eat. she can't get food on a spoon or a fork yet (unless it's something soft yet firm that stays on the fork when her clumsy little one year old hands stab at it ) but still, she doesn't care, she wants one because we have one. she also will not let me break up her food. we had grilled turkey and swiss sandwiches for lunch and she threw all her bits i broke off on the floor and screamed while holding her hand out towards my big sandwich. i cut it in half and gave it to her and she sat there like a 2 year old and took bites while holding it herself irritating yet insanely adorable at the same time

Lol. That is how Charlotte is. She wants nothing to do with little bites. I have to hand her either whole sandwiches or halves..nothing smaller. And i must say she is better about eating it as a sandwich then Samantha who has to open it and dissect it and examine it before eating select parts of it. Lol

Miss Independant here too. If we cut things up or tear pieces off she give it to the dog and put her hand out for more. She wants the whole dang thing.

That's sweet. I wish Maggie were that way about the plate and the utensils. She is eating quarter sandwiches though...she still gets them mushed up and mangled, but she'll at least take a whole quarter of the bread. I like not having to cut that up anymore.
