When you are going to be out and about for the day what do you take with you for your LO to drink? I can't remember what I used to do with Grace. Now I just grab her a bottled water or take a juice box. Since Caleb is off of formula I've been packing a cooler with two milk sippy cups but I'd love to hear some suggestions.

We were at the lake all day Saturday so I took an extra larger water bottle (adult). and put milk in it and put it in the cooler. I also took a bottle of juice and put that in the cooler. Then I took 2 sippy cups. After she was done with the cup I rinsed it out and re-used it all day for milk, and then put 50/50 juice/water in the other one. If we're just out and about locally I just make sure she's had lunch (or what ever meal) before we leave, and then I take a small cup of water with us.
I also have an emergency bag in my van. It has 1 outfit, 1 sippy cup, 2 diapers and a baggy of wipes. I figure if I ever need it I can use it. I also have a pack of fish crackers in there, and a container of cheerios (which I think I need to go make sure they arent stale...ha ha)

we just take water in a sippy. she doesn't drink anything but water or milk. If we need milk, I'll buy it while out and just use a straw.
I also have a water bottle cap adaptor that I keep with me, so if I'm stuck I can just give her a bottle of water (the one I have is great...I haven't had any leaks at all ..she loves drinking out of her own water bottle).

If i am going to be out locally, i just take either water, juice or gatorade for both kids. Occasionally, like if it is right before nap time for Charlotte, she takes milk. Only if i know she will drink it before it gets nasty. Then i just throw a bottle of water or gatorade in the car for her later.

sippy cup with water is a given. I also will take a bottle of milk with me (we're not off bottles yet). Always keep them in an insulated lunch bag with a bag of ice. I also keep a thing of cheerios and a cup of crackers/cookies, and a package of bear paws on me. Helps to bridge the gap made by slow waiters or long delays of any kind.

Vincent still gets formula in a bottle too. Going to try to start changing that in the next week or so, I guess, but I'm not sure how I'm going to do it either.

LOL But I'm assuming she was holding her own bottle? I still have to hold it for Arielle...which is fine, but I'm anxious to be done because I am tired of mixing formula and washing bottles!
Michele, let me know if you come up with something that works! The only thing I can think of is just to stop cold turkey but I'm nervous she will be up all night hungry.

Oh she was definately holding her own bottle...and running and riding tricycles and swinging on swings, etc She had a sippy cup from 6 months on but she also like to have a morning bottle or "comfort" bottle, so we let her have one....for a long time. But she only had soy milk in it. She doesnt like juice and only had water in a sippy cup. My twins had them until they were 2 y /o and I thought it would be hard to take them away but I took them away cold turkey and they never cared. Oh and I should add, Julia and my twins have perfect teeth (Julia just went to dentist a few months ago for the first time) and not one of them has ever had a cavity!! and the twins are 21 y/o with never a cavity!

I bring Owen's sippy full of water, and always carry an extra bottle or two of water with us.

Was it hard to train him to use a Camelbak?!?! I almost got the kid one at REI the other day but got the Nalgene sippy instead. She loves that, but I really want a Camelbak!!!
