I don't even have to write anything in this box.
So, so sad. I'm so sad for little Caylee. I'm also sad for Casey Anthony's mother. Can you imagine losing a granddaughter and then having a daughter like Casey???
My facebook news feed has literally blown up with Casey Anthony remarks, etc....
I've never let something like this personally affect me in this way but I am just so sad. I think now that I'm a mother it hurts differently. I can't imagine being able to function, I mean regardless if she did/didn't do it her baby is dead and she sat through that trial so...blank. How can you be like that?

I think she obviously has some major psychological issues. She's been shown to be a pathological liar. Not that it would excuse killing her baby at all, and I don't feel sorry for her, but I wouldn't be surprised if she did suffer sexual abuse. She's just not right in the head.

I purposely didn't watch any of the news regarding the case. I just couldn't stand to listen to any of it. After becoming a mother I can't even listen or read about abused and murdered children. It's even hard for me to read about any kids who die. She will have her judgement day when she stands before God.

It's so so so sad. She'll face judgement when she dies (and that might not be too long).

Ugh! I know! I read the verdict and my jaw literally hung open! I just couldnt believe it. I dont have any faith in our legal system at all. It sickens me tha i have read a story about a mother who was sleeping at night and her toddler got out of the house and was put in jail....yet Casey Anthony walks free. Yeah she could get 1 yr for her 4 counts of lying to police, but she will only serve 2 yrs, less if they let her out for good behavior. My dad made a comment like some others about God judging her...but that doesnt make me feel any better...she still gets to live out the rest of her life. What about Caylee's life?

I followed this case SO closely. I live 30 minutes from her home (Orlando). My own daughter was born in Arpil of 2008 and this came out in July of 2008. I really really prayed and wished and hoped that Caylee was alive somewhere. Then they found her dead. And I've followed literally every news article. I was hoping justice would be served today. Instead, a killer is going to go free and her little girl died and has NO ONE in her family standing up for her. Really, literally, NO ONE.
So so sad and tragic. Who in the world would make an "accidental drowning" look like a homicide? Ridiculous. She killed this little girl in cold blood. And she should pay for it. If not in this life then I hope in the next when she stands in judgement before God.

I didn't know this case from the beginning but over the recent weeks I've seen it reported, when I check people.com. I can't believe she got off, its unbelieveable, even just the small amount I have heard that woman is mentally deranged. I feel so sorry for that little girl, that justice hasn't been done for her. What a horrible horrible case

Yes I agree that this is a very sad case, I have also not followed it. Now my opinion may not be popular but it is based on experience
However, have you stopped to think of it from the jury's perspective, have you ever been on a jury for a murder trial. It is one of the hardest things to decide. You are sworn to come to the verdict based on the evidence that is presented in court and if there is any reasonable doubt you cannot bring back a guilty verdict. If the prosecutor did not do their job and present enough actual evidence and mostly circumstantial evidence they cannot convict. Also you have to know what is the exact wording of the charges brought against her. When I was on a jury we had the choices of manslaughter, first degree murder and second degree murder, did they have choices or was there just one choice?
Those jurors will have images that will haunt them forever and they will never forget this experience.
Did she do it? I don't know, all I know is it's a sad situation.

I lived in Orlando when this first happened and became a media sensation. I've probably watched more episodes of Nancy Grace then I'd care to admit. All it took was reasonable doubt and the defense was successful at creating that. Like most of us, the prosecution thought it was a sure thing that she would be found guilty of murder 1 -- in hindsight, that was probably reaching on their part.
I think she's guilty based on her behavior after Caley went missing, the searches on the computer, and like Elizabeth said ---- who covers up an accident to make it look like a murder?? I agree that there is a lot of psychopathy and sociopathic behavior, probably because the family has more disfunction than we'll ever know.

You cant determine ones fate on your emotions alone. You also can't say how one is "supposed to act" in a situation like that. The prosecution had 3 years to come up with a case and couldn't. Not reporting her for 31 is nuts! but doesn't automatically mean she killed her. I also love how Violent these "justice". Horn blowers are.
