So I have not been on here for-ever! This past almost year with baby and big sister has been so busy, between them, work, and house chores, etc. What has made it hard/challenging is little Lauren has only been breast-fed. In the beginning she took maybe 2 ounces all day from a bottle. So I have been feeding her at lunch, then basically running home after work to feed her. I am so proud of us including hubby for getting through this year. He has driven 20 minutes to get to my work on those days so she can eat. She will only sip a bit from a big cup or sippy, but takes more if we dunk a straw in water and let go of the end while she drinks from the other. Hello, Kid!! She hates cows milk......

So many emotions are wrapped up in nursing. I am so glad she has gotten a full year of it, and at this point I don't have to stress too much about getting home to her as she eats food well. It would be nice to have my life back yet feel emotional about not nursing any longer.

I am still breastfeeding, and the milk is most of Sam's diet. I would like to go for at least 7 more months, perhaps until he is two...but i don't know.

I am still breastfeeding. I was planning to stop this month but I think I am going to continue as long as I can.

I had hoped to BF for at least a year, but we struggled from day one and once she started solid foods she was having none of it. I pumped for a while longer, but now she's getting formula until she is old enough not to need it to supplement her diet.

Isaac is the same way but I don't work so it's not that stressful for me. He's starting to drink a few sips from a sippy cup and likes to drink from an open cup or straw. I'm glad that we are gonna make it to a year with breastfeeding and I'm sure Isaac will want to go much longer because he loves nursing. Good for you for making it this far.

This. Heidi is eating more and more tablefood though so I'm considering getting a night job to help with income. Will definitely be shooting for 2 y/o weaning.

Still nursing here as well, but I don't work so I don't have that to contend with. That is awesome that you have kept nursing while working! I nursed my middle child until about 27 months, and I got so tired of my family asking when I was gonna stop, or telling me he was too old. I have been enjoying this year with Hadley cause I know those comments are right around the corner again. I wasn't able to breastfeed my first from lack of support and I had no idea what I was doing. I am not ready to give it up since she is probably my last.

ETA-She loves to eat, and will eat anything I am eating. She drinks from a straw sippy cup also.
