How quickly did your LO feel better (how quickly did the fever go down) after you started the antibiotic?
I'm just wondering because I remember that it's supposed to help within 24 hours and it's been 2 days now for Miranda and she's still not better and her fever is just as high, so I'm wondering if there is something else that is going on. She's on a penicillin antibiotic.
Gosh....I should know this, but honestly only my DS had ear infections and this was 7 years ago.

well honestly with Liam's ear infection he only had a fever when it got really bad and it went away after a day and the rest of the symptoms maybe two to three days later

I am a newbie at ear infections. Kenzie had an ear infection and RSV and the ear infection took about a week or more. it was in both ears.

Avery had so many ear infections that she has tubes now, but never really got a fever with any of them, so I'm not much help. Although we were still having to give her tylenol up to 4 days after starting antibiotics because she was obviously still in pain, even though everyone was like "24 hours after starting them she shouldn't be in any pain!" Our babies are all so different, though!!

We've been seeing results with Boogie about 24 hours after starting his meds and usually some infant tylenol is enough to kick the fever for him. Poor kid is currently on antibiotics again

She never has a fever, but with her first ear infection she was miserable for a few days after starting antibiotics. I want to say she started feeling better on day 4 but I don't totally remember.
