Today, on the 3rd day of trying to get off formula and bottles, he's finally been drinking a decent amount of milk from a sippy cup!! The past two days he only had one evening bottle of formula but I'm going to try to forgo it tonight and just give him milk.

And I finally found a straw sippy I love that doesn't leak. These ones by Tommee Tippee are awesome! I was bummed at first because he couldn't get anything out of them - I think it's slightly harder than the regular straw, but today he's been drinking milk out of it like a pro! I like that they really don't leak if you put them together right but I love that the top straw part is more like a soft spout and I've noticed he hasn't spilled any out of his mouth like he had been doing with regular straw sippy cups. So thanks to everyone who gave me their recommendations on FB. I'm just glad I found one that works!

We've just been doing trial and error with the meals and the milk as far as figuring out a routine and when he will actually drink the milk. For those off bottles and formula completely, what's your normal daily routine as far as meals and milk?

I was out of town and missed this post. So how is he doing now with milk?

We dont do milk yet, only water in a sippy cup so I have no milk routine. We are pretty behind everyone else on here with table food, drinks etc. Ty is still nursed a lot, and still eats baby food. I have tried table food but he has no interest and spits it out No biggie we are in no rush!!

There's no telling what we would be doing at this point if we had been successful with BF. We might be the same way.

He's doing okay with milk so far. The increase in solids is a big change for us too and he's being a little picky already. He's kind of inconsistent and it is hard to read him and figure out what he will actually eat and when he will actually be hungry. We're struggling to figure out a good meal/snack schedule. Last night all he ate for supper was tofu and applesauce and wouldn't take any milk and ended up getting a bottle before bed. I'm just hoping we'll figure out what works best soon.

I'm in the same boat. One thing I realized is if I put her in her high chair, she will eat for awhile, but then get bored and want down. But if she is allowed to wander about and someone is feeding her a bit of a sandwich or pasta, or whatever, she will eat WAY more. I know this is creating a bad habit, and a choking hazard (but its not like she is running), but at this point, I figure as long as she is eating...
