It doesnt really bother me, they own the restaurant and can do as they please. If its not a family restaurant then honestly if youre child cant sit quietly and be polite then they shouldnt be there (i dont know if thats the case for this particular restaurant as ive not heard of them before)

I don't mind it, either. I always hated trying to go on a nice dinner with dh to enjoy some romantic, quiet time only for screaming children to be running around in a place that really isn't meant for children. When we go out with Omair, we make sure it's a family place that's already busy and noisy...and on top of that if Omair is making too much noise we pack it up and leave. I don't make others suffer just because I chose to take my child out, and I would hope others would do the same!

" but their endless screams at public dinner tables are "the height of being impolite and selfish."
I think the quote above is ridiculous. Endless screams??? Give me a break.
That being said, I have nothing against an adult only restaurant. If DH and I ever get to go out on a date, it would be nice to go someplace quiet without kids.
I also like having family friendly restaurants where I know my child is welcome.

when Rebecca was turning 2, we went our for a late dinner with DH's cousins who were in town. we went to a "nice" restaurant, and people actually came over to comment on how well behaved she was, how they couldn't believe how well she was doing, that their kid would never be able to come here, etc. and we were so proud. she was always easy to take anywhere.
Nathan, on the other hand, is a nightmare. he is very hard to take places. he is fine when the food is there to eat, but if he gets full or bored, look out. all he wants to do is throw things on the floor, or get out and walk around.
I like the idea of adult only restaurants, so long as there are good options for families as well.

I understand 110% why they are doing this.. I just don't necessarily agree with it.

I am all for adult only places just as family friendly places. I fully expect when going to family restaurants to have kids crying, being loud and so on. Although it never really seemed to bother us. With that said I see all to many times parents who feel entitled to do as they please and not do anything to fix the situation.
Wish they would do it for movie theaters too. I can't stand to pay dang near 25.00 for us to go the movies and have crying babies. I mean really what are they thinking. It is way to loud in there. Kid/family movies I expect it. More adult type movies leave the kids at home.

pre rosie we always wanted to go to one. There was one near by but never worked out that way.
Luckily now there are a few drive ins near us that we are going to go check out so that way we can bring Rosie and still enjoy a new movie..lol

I flipping LOVE this! I am such a hyporcrit about it though...I sometimes have to take my kids with me to lunch or something...but Gosh dang it...when I get one flipping night to go out with my husband, or a girls night and the waitress brings the family of 5 over to sit by us, I must admit I cringe and want to move. I have kids around me 24/7 and when I get the one chance to get out...well lets just say I want some peace and quiet
Im always nice about it though... As long as they keep family friendly restaurants around..Im good.
