Kaileigh had severe diarrhea and some vomiting when I gave it to her so I stopped. I then tried it again a few weeks later, and same thing, so she's on soy. I talked to pedi yesterday and he's perfectly fine with her on soy.
Are they runny or are they normal?
We had a day or two of nothing and then two days of constant bowel movements. As long as they aren't runny and he's not having cramping or anything then I would think it is alright.
But if you are at all unsure, I would call and speak to a nurse at the pediatrician's office.
My pedi say babies who can't tolerate cow's milk often have almost as bad of a time with soy so she recommended rice or almond. We're just sticking to boob milk for a while, though.

We've gone from 1-2 dirty diapers a day to 3-4, but they are normal - no diarrhea or constipation. I'm sure it's because he's eating a lot more now too. I'd say if there's not really any problem and it's just an increase in how often he's going then maybe just stick with it, as long as he seems to be tolerating it well. If not, I'd probably try rice or almond milk next or maybe goat's milk.
