I found out when Juliana was around 7 months old that she was sensitive to milk protein and cannot have dairy. It was awful when we gave the dairy directly to her but only a little bit bad when I ate the dairy myself. I've added a little bit of dairy back in my diet, just about one casserole per week with half of the cheese as normal, and she seems to tolerate this just fine. I'd really like it if I could get to the point of giving her dairy, but I'm afraid to try. We had some absolutely awful nights those few times I gave her yogurt. For the other moms of dairy-sensitive babies, when are you planning to try offering dairy to see if the sensitivity has worn off?

I figure he'll get some at some point from someone who doesn't know. KWIM? If he does well, I might try more. But I'm not planning to give him any for quite a while.

I'm pretty sure all of my kids had a dairy sensitivity as a baby and my older two have no issues with it now. I think it still bugs Eli a little bit, but he does get a very small amount of milk once in awhile and eats string cheese and yogurt just fine. Hopefully Juliana will grow out of it and it won't be an issue any more. I have no idea how to introduce it.....just kinda did with my kids and they were okay with it.

My neice had a dairy sensitivity & grew out of it by her 2nd b-day. I think my SIL let her have cake & a bite of ice cream on her 2nd b-day and she was fine. I mean, I made her a grilled cheese for lunch on Sunday, so she's definitely OK with dairy now.

If you give her any, maybe give it to her in the morning? I'm not sure how long the effects last, if she is still sensitive.
