Do you think it is wrong to give a 7 yr old girl and almost 1 year old boy a bath together?
Yes, I am talking about me....
Dh says I shouldn't do it, it is so much easier for me to get them both done at the same time. DD pretty much washes herself, I just wash her hair(she does a terrible job at it). With me being the only one at home these days it sooo much easier. Do you think that is wrong?

I dont think its wrong, but I would ask Lily if shes comfortable with it/minds having a bath with Tommy. She might think its fun to have a bath with him but if she said she doesnt want to I wouldnt force it just because its easier for you

She doesn't mind it, she loves to splash and play with him. She glady moves her barbies out of the way. I really have never given them baths together except the last 2 weeks and never gave it a second thought until my dh mentioned it to me.

Personally, I don't think it's wrong. If it saves you time and water, why not?! Tommy is sooo young and I'm betting that Lily see's his private area when he's getting his diaper changed.
We still bathe our 5.5 year old daughter with our 2.5 year old son. My kids are always taking their clothes off around the house for one reason or another so their parts aren't anything they don't see all the time anyways. I don't think it's a big deal until they are older.
I'm just assuming that that's the reason why your DH doesn't want them to bathe together!

also if it makes you feel better at my grandmothers house my male cousin and I took baths together until we were 6 and 7 years old, neither of us are "damaged" in any way

Yeah, that is his problem. He thinks Lily is too old to take baths with her brother, she sees him get his diaper changed all the time. She knows the difference between a boy and a girl. I give Tommy a bath with her, which is quick. Then I let her play in the tub while I get him dressed. The boy/girl thing weirds him out.

not weird at all. when my brother was Tommy's age, I was 12, and we took baths together. only reason being that I could bathe him for my mom so she wouldn't have to LOL! and obviously that didn't last long, being on the brink of puberty and all.

Nothing wrong with it. But this is coming from someone who lets their 8 and 3 yr old opposite gender children bathe together.
However, I have started letting Zinnia take showers alone more and more. Maybe that's a way to help you out.
Lily could take a shower and start becoming more independent with things like that and you could give Tommy a quick hosing off before or after Lily's shower. Save water and time and also keeps them separate which would maybe satisfy your DH.

There is such an age difference I don't think its weird at all. Now if you were forcing it and your DD felt weird about it (which you stated she doesn't) then it would weird. Or it would be odd to me if they were close in age.
I think guys often see things differently then us. But I also think it also depends on how modest people are that says hey this is weird or okay too.

Yeah Lily think it's fun...lol. I probably will not even do it once I move, right now I just don't have an extra 25 minutes at night doing everything by myself. I explained that to him so he thinks I should give each kid a bath every other night. Which I would be ok with but dd goes to summer camp and swims in lakes, pools, etc...not to mention she goes roller skating, bowling, field trips where animals are involved. She needs a bath every night, Tommy I can get away with but the more he eats solids and crawls around the more he needs to be bathed.
Guys do see things differently.

There's nothing at all wrong with it. Personally, I don't think I would do it. But if you're comfortable with it, Lily is ok with it, then there's no problem.
