Not truely, but you know what I mean.
I'm staying with my mom in northern VA right now until the baby and I fly to CA. I love my mom, I really do, but she's driving me absolutely bonkers. My gran is also staying with my mom because her apartment complex had bedbugs found in it, so she's moving to another place like August 5. Well, we move to a 2 br August 1.. right now there are 4 of us in a 1 br. I'm going insane. I don't get ANY alone time like I need. My mom is constantly harping on me about my parenting habits and giving Ali food that I don't want her to have. She is just ARGH.
I need to get out but I don't have a car.

That stinks! I might have to make a trip back down there to break you out. Plus another trip to the mall wouldn't hurt. If you had your car I'd tell you to head up here. Seth will be in TX for a few days.
Anyway, goodluck...you'll be in sunny California before you know it.

Cake walk, There has been 4 of us in one bedroom at my dads house since March 10, to make it worse my dad babysits my brothers kid who is the same age as my DS and is a total pita he has no manners he physically can't keep up with DS hes mean, socially retarded and poops and pees his pants after being potty trained for almost 3 years. 40 more days till my house is done and I won't have to lay eyes on him till Christmas.

Wow I just saw this...
My mother was physically and psychologically abusive to me throughout most of my childhood. Living with her in a small apartment is not easy. Thank god I'm out of there now. I'm sorry that you can't live on your own for whatever reason, but there's no reason for you to trivialize what I was dealing with at that point. And really, socially retarded? It sounds like the kid has a true mental disorder, there's no reason for you to belittle him like that. If you don't like your living situation, get out.

I love my family but I think once you're an adult and have lived on your own.... being basically a "guest" in your parents house is NOT FUN---I mean I love visiting my family and my parents have a big house so I can't even begin to imagine --- my biggest complaint is that my parents have the LEAST baby friendly house in the history of houses. Sharp edges, breakables, fireplace, swimming pool....I could eat a bottle of xanax by the time I fly home.
Hang in there!!! I totally would be the same way as you but probably like 500x's more crazy

Even if you didn't know, or if that wasn't the situation, it's pretty rude to trivialize what someone's going through. Would you like it if someone came along on one of your venting threads and basically told you to suck it up buttercup because they had it worse? No.. you wouldn't.
As for the politically correct way of saying socially retarded.. wow. If he is mentally impaired, you say that. A normally functioning potty trained kid doesn't go to the bathroom in their pants, so the kid obviously has some form of mental impairment. I feel bad for that kid having to be around someone who so harshly judges them. As for living with your father.. YOU made that choice, so you can't really complain now can you?
