I have messed up a lot lately with milk, I don't know what it is but my brain spaces out when it comes to milk.

Example #1: We bought 3 jugs of milk a couple weeks back (this house goes through a lot of milk) and we didn't put them all the way in the back of our Jeep like we normally do when we grocery shop. We didn't have the space without crushing things. So we put them on the floor in the back seat. Cue to the next morning, I go to get some milk for the boys and we have none.. the husband points out we forgot to bring them in from the car! He discovered them when he got home that morning from work. Oops.

Example #2: This time we remembered to bring the 1 jug we bought in! So point for us, go us. Anywhoo.. I was putting some freezer stuff away and I set all the cold stuff together on the counter. Well, I wasn't paying total attention and I put the milk in the freezer. I can't believe I did that!

I am not allowing myself to handle milk for awhile haha.

Do you have similar stories where you can't believe you did something like that?

Funny Marisa! I think I would stay away from the milk for a while if I was you! Losing 3 things of milk would make me cry! At least the frozen milk could be thawed.

Yesterday my Mom and I went shopping. She picked out a shirt to show me and then threw it on the cart. I thought, maybe she's going to get it for herself. Then I picked out a shirt and didn't even look at the size...
On the way home Mom was talking about the book she bought for Hallie and that being all she got. We argued that she bought this purple shirt...She doesn't remember ever putting it on the cart, so I got an extra shirt.. Then I get home and was trying all of the new shirts on, and I realize one of them is tighter fitting than the other. It fit, just fitted, and I'm not one to wear fitted shirt (since my boobs are so big..) It ended up being 2 sizes smaller than what I normally wear. I will be taking it back..

Grocery shopping bought some meat. Yup forgot to put in the freezer. Was so mad because meat isn't cheap here at all.

A total ditz moment. Remote stopped working. Normal people check the batteries. I just threw it away and went and bought a new one.

Vacuum cleaner stopped working or so I thought. So I bought a Dyson to replace it. Um the only thing wrong with the old one was paper towels clogged it up. Was fixed in less then 5 minutes. Couldn't return the dyson since I bought it on ebay.

Yeah DH wasn't to happy with that one..lol So now the rule is nothing gets replaced till he looks at it.

Seriously though I realized after the fact of what I did like with the remote...lol just didn't click at the moment..lol

I would cry about the milk also! Having to pay for it once is bad enough.

But I do things like that ALL the time now. I never used to, but I never get a moment of silence and I can't even make it to the next room before someone asks me a question, or asks me to fix something, asks for a drink, tattles. So I forget to put food away on a daily basis just about. Even now Hadley is super grouchy and I can't think straight to remember an example, but I know I pulled a smooth one this week. Some days I just feel like I have lost my mind.

I forget small things, like I go into the basement to get a printout and stand around in the laundryroom thinking "was I supposed to get the laundry... or start the laundry...?" so I do a load of laundry go back upstairs and remember I forgot the printout. sad thing that I proceed into the basement again and stand there thinking "what was I supposed to get?" maybe bring up the laundry? and go back upstairs w/ a pile of laundry. This can go on 3 to 4 times before I finally remember what I am supposed to do.

I have also locked the car keys into the car while baby and me stand outside of the car and can't get back into the house. We had gotten back from a shopping trip and I put the keys under my butt as I took Sophia out of her car seat and forgot them. Had to call DH at work so he could get us back into the house. That only happened once so far...

Oh yeah the whole 3 jugs of milk was horrible, I wanted to cry! We will never put any milk in the back seat ever again, it ALWAYS must go in the trunk.

I have locked myself out of our house before, with my son Gage inside! He was a baby, playing on the living room floor and the house we lived in had that lock where you could still open the door from the inside while it was locked. Well dummy me didn't make sure it wasn't locked and went to get the mail. Came back and I was locked out. I had to flag down a neighbor to borrow their phone so I could call my mom to help me get back in.

I did that babysitting once. I was like 9 yrs old so one of my first times babysitting other then my brother..lol the baby was sleeping. I thought I heard a noise so I ran next door to the neighbors (as it was set up if any problems I just need to go get them) Well yeah the door opened so I didn't know it was still locked. The neighbor had to put me through the window to unlock the door. We spent the rest of the night at their house because I was scared to go back into the house alone..lol

I had one of those locks once as well, and did the same thing. My dh and I had just moved into a house with neighbors all around. It was our first morning there, and he had gone to work. It had a wide threshold, and I walked out to let the dog go to the bathroom, and I pulled the door shut so the cat wouldn't get out and I was gonna hide because I had some skimpy night shorts on....and realized I was locked out with no phone. My new neighbor walked out and I didn't know what to do cause I had never met any of them, so I just sat down and acted like I meant to be out there. Then I realized I had no option and told him I was locked out, so he helped me get in....I was so embarrassed! Why do they make those kind of locks, LOL?
