Does anyone know how to get rid of one on a baby? Tommy has had this rash on the one side of his testicle and groin area. I've been treating it with a&d, desitin and corn starch. It doesn't seem to bother him at all but it's not going away. It hasn't spread either. I googled it, and it looks like a yeast infection. Do you think I can you an over the counter cream like monistat or something? Any suggestions would be great.

Try equal amounts of creamy desitin (for barrier), hydrocortisone (for the itch) and an antifungal. I used lotrimin cream (for jock itch) but you can try monistat as well. I also bought the generics from walmart (except for the desitin). And make sure the desitin is the creamy kind so it will mix well with the others. I mixed up a batch of this in a bowl and used it for about 3 days and the yeast rash was gone and hasn't come back.

Of course, if that doesn't work you may need a prescription from your ped.

cortisone and antifungal cream mixed together should work. if not then your dr. should be able to get you something.

A while back Joey had a yeast diaper rash and the dr. recommended Lotramin and that worked.

I use lotramin for Holden also. Usually clears up within a day or two depending on how bad it is.

Josh had a yeast infection twice. The first time I just thought it was diaper rash and used A&D for a few weeks with no improvement. Then he had a regular check up and doctor said it was yeast infection. She prescribed one medicine which didn't work so she prescribed a different one two weeks later and it went away within a few days. The second time he had one was a few weeks ago and I knew what it was so I used the prescribed medicine right when I noticed it and it was gone the next day.

Thanks for all the replies, it seems like the lotrimin and anti itch cream are working. I hope it stays that way.
