So we're trying to figure out a good nap schedule but every day seems different and I'm not always sure how to fit 3 meals in so they're not super close together sometimes. Like today, he fell asleep about 12:30 on the way home from church and we hadn't had lunch yet and it's 2 and he's still asleep. I have his lunch ready to go for when he wakes up but then I'm worried his lunch will be so late he won't be hungry to eat dinner at a decent hour so he can go to bed at a decent hour too. I'm trying so hard to get to where we can have a consistent 8 pm bedtime but it never seems to work out! And he almost always wakes up between 7:30 and 8 in the morning so I don't know what gives.

Anyway, when do your meal times tend to be? Like in relation to naps and how much time between meals and snacks? Oh, and how long do meals take? Sometimes I'm sitting there with him for an hour it seems.

Well, we are on day 3 of only 1 nap so today. We ate breakfast about 9, went shopping, she fell asleep on the way home. I woke her up in the car seat, fed both kids lunch, then laid her down for a nap at 1:30. She only slept about 10 mins in the van. I knew if I brought her in, she wouldnt sleep as long and wake up hungry. She sleeps better on a full tummy (as most kids do).

I guess for you it would depend on how many naps he takes. If he's still taking more then 1, then just feed him when he wakes up from his nap, then at dinner offer him some but if he's not hungry wait about an hour or so and offer it again. Last night Kaileigh wasnt hungry because we ate dinner early at 4:45, so I put her plate in the refrigerator, and then about 6:15 took it back out and offered it to her, and she ate.

Well on a typical day London eats breakfast at 8am, snack at around 10 or 1030. She then has lunch at around 1230 or 1. Then she has a nap from 2-4 then another snack after she wakes up. Then dinner 7. Bed by 830. She recently dropped her morning nap, but sometimes she will have a morning nap. Also I try really hard to stick to this eating schedule when we are on the go. Yes I think it just depends on Vincents nap schedule. What does your typical day look like?

I wish I could give better advice on this. I'm still trying to work out a schedule for us. DD wakes up at 7am and DS sleeps until 9am so I often find myself doing breakfast twice. I just serve breakfast when they wake up. Meals don't take very long...maybe 20 minutes.

DS is down to one nap a day and doesn't really take it at the same time everyday. I just tend to go with the flow. If we are out and about he will not nap so when ever we get home I'll put him down. Today we got home from Church at 3pm so that's when he went down. As for lunch, I try to feed the kids around 12 everyday. I am usually able to stick to that time. If we are home DS will go down for a nap right after he eats.

Dinner I try to stick with between 5:30 and 6 every night. That seems to be working well for us. After dinner we begin our bed time routine and both kids are down for the night between 7 and 8pm.

I don't really stress too much about the clock. If lunch does end up running close to dinner I just serve a really light lunch, more like a snack, to last the kids till dinner.

Aaron normally gets breakfast as soon as he wakes up between 6 and 6:30. He gets a snack right before his morning nap at 9 and then lunch around 11:30 or 12. He gets a second snack right before his nap at 2 and then dinner around 5:30 and bath and bedtime routine after (he's normally in bed at 7). It takes him around 30 minutes to eat.
