When do you plan to give up the bottle?
I think this is going to be a tough one for me, Tommy seems to prefer the bottle over anything else.

One. I'm the "mean" mom who takes it away cold turkey. This is why I introduce sippies with their drink in it (either formula or breastmilk) so they are used to it, we slowly use that more then we do the bottle and at 1, they never noticed it being gone.

That totally worked with Lily. Tommy still wakes up in the middle of the night for a bottle. He has a total meltdown until I give him one. He will drink from the sippy cup but he screams for the bottle until he gets it. I really need to work on getting him to go to sleep without it, I never had this problem with Lily, she just went to sleep when she was tired.

2 out of 3 have not complained. Bishop does wake up sometimes to eat but I think thats when he's teething. When he isn't he will sleep till 6/7am and then take a bottle. I need to get in the habit of giving him a sippy in the morning instead of his bottle. I just never remember when I get everything ready for bed!

Isaac never took a bottle so I don't have to worry about taking one away. Now, taking away my boobies is going to be another story entirely. He's totally attached to breastfeeding and I'm going to let him decide when to wean but I hope it's sooner rather than later.

We'll be giving them up at 1 as well. She does well with sippy cups so I don't see it being a problem.

Ugh, we are struggling with this one. Claire doesn't do will with the sippy (any kind...we have tried them all), so as much as I'd like to get rid of the bottle completely, I don't see it happening for a while

I have been trying so hard with McKenzie but thereis not a cup she will take. I have not tried the straw cups. I am lost lol. I took the pacifier away cold turkey, well actually lost it and did not really try to find it.

I really want to be done with the bottle at 1 but for sure before the baby gets here. However its proving to be hard.
Rosie does awesome with her sippy cup and drinks out it all day water/juice. Put formula in it and she won't touch it. She will scream, roll around on the floor till she gets that bottle.
I have gotten her off of the warm milk thing so I won't have that battle...lol
My mom said just take it away and she will drink from the cup but that just seems so cruel to me even though I am sure if she is hungry enough she will take it from the sippy.
The only time we have a middle of the night feeding is if she is teething or going through a growth spurt. Otherwise she will sleep till 7ish. If she wakes up earlier like 5 I will give her one and she will go back to sleep.

How did you do that? I'm been trying with Hallie for months and she won't even take room temperature. I'm worried about switching her to dairy because she hates cold. But she'll drink cold water or anything else. Just not formula/milk.

I started slowly just not using warm water. Plus watching DH make bottles and he just turned the faucet on filled it up. and never gave it a chance to warm up.

Jack is not at all addicted to his bottle. He will drink out of a sippy very easily if I give him one. He doesn't require a bottle to go to sleep or anything. Therefore, I'm not in a hurry to wean him off of it. I think we'll probably throw them out when he's 2. We let Ava use them until her 3rd birthday, but thinking back, I don't really think that was a good idea. 2 seems like a good time to let it go.
