We bought the tickets. We'll be making our second international trip within a year...with Omair in tow. Thankfully, this time flying back I wont be alone...also the entire trip (including layovers) is still less than ONE of the flights (in-air time) of the last trip.
I'm not as excited as you'd think, though. I was soooooo happy and relieved to be home from the last trip and be away from the critical eyes of the IL's and now I'm doing it all over again. Oh, I guess here I should mention the whole reason why we're going is to meet dh's parents. They'll be in Norway for a medical conference and are stopping in their beloved London before returning home. So I figured it'd be an easier method of seeing them (in other words, delaying another trip to pakistan).
As if it weren't hard enough to be with the IL's (who, really aren't that bad, but it's still scary nonetheless), his sister has decided to come as well. Yes, his sister. Otherwise known as Hitler. And that's not a fib. Dh seriously called her Hitler when they were kids. She's mean. Capital Bee Eye Tea See Atche. I hate her hate her hate her. And for me, that's a big deal. It's pretty darn hard to make me actually hate you. I think there's only 2 other people I truly hate other than her (of those whom I personally know).
Great vacation this is gonna be. Btw, anyone have any warm clothing I can borrow? lol. I don't have any being down here in florida and it's gonna be pretty expensive to come up with 10 cold weather outfits.

Kind of exciting though. I know you said you are not looking forward to the long trip but I always like the airport atmosphere- there is just so much excitement in the air. You see so many different cultures all in one place. I enjoy it.
I guess you got to go shopping for some clothes. Are you able to go on your own?
Hopefully you will be able to enjoy some of the trip. When are you going?
Next trip we are going will be to the beach just us so we can enjoy ourselves. At least I hope it's just us. I think the in-laws want come along again...

How exciting!!!
I know your not too excited but can you do some sight seeing while your not with the ILs?
As for the clothes, try just going to a second hand store cause youll probalby not use them again.. As long as they are cute right?
Oh and sorry about the sister I cant imagine. I cant wait to hear your stories when you get back. When are you going?

We will be there end of Oct through beginning of Nov. And I'm sure we'll be doing alot of sightseeing...dh's father and myself are actually the only ones interested in history and architecture and stuff so he's excited to show me around, which I'm excited about as well. As far as clothing, I would like to do second hand, but in Florida it's impossible to even find long-sleeved shirts second hand let alone brand new. I am relinquished to online shopping. And Celine, I used to also like the airport atmosphere until I started traveling so much, lol!!! Now they just remind me of how exhausting travel is (and the memory of peeing my pants a little in the immigration line cause I was already so gross and didnt want to lose my place in the hour long wait). Yeah. Not fun anymore. (Did I just admit that publicly? Yes, I did.).

And, omygosh you've never met them? You must be nervous as all get out! What language to they speak? The first time I met dh's parents I ran to the bathroom to puke.

First of all your siggy is soooooooo cute!!!! I've never met anyone personally from JM, either! It will be a couple of months until we're there, but I'll see if I can swing meeting you somewhere!!! It all depends though on dh's family. And his sister. And her meddling, and evil ways. (sigh)

Your 1 year old has seen more places then me and I'm going to be 26
I hope even though the reincarnation of hilter (I had to giggle at that, I used to refer to my brother as the same thing for a few years) isn't bad. Maybe Omair and his adorableness will keep away the evil.

Wow! I can understand all of the things that you dread about this trip, but I bet you will have a great time visiting London. Personally, I would LOVE to go to Europe! Really hoping someday Maybe DH's sister will change her mind about coming along?

Please say a prayer for me regarding that one!! She has two kids of her own and a hubby who can't seem to even tie his own laces without her so I'd hope so. But, she has a maid and is getting "bored" (because she doesn't cook, clean, do laundry or work so what else does she have to do but wreck other people's lives?)
