Who still has one? All day or just for night time? At what age will you take it away?

Mine never really got attached to one even though I have tried. BB's (Blankie's) are a different story. Both, Andrew and Courtney still sleep with their's and I am in the process of getting Kaylee attached to her's. Doesn't bother me one bit.

Arianna is "allowed" a paci at bedtime and in the carseat. She's very good about giving it up other times, but if she finds one layin around, she will definitely plop it in her mouth! I'm hoping to eliminate the car seat next and then bedtime. I would love for it to be to be gone by 18 months.

Sophie does whenever, but I'm in no rush to take it from her. My best friend's daughter got rid of her's at 18 months when she chewed a hole in it. She just threw it in the garbage can and that was that.
We were also thinking about bringing her to build-a-bear and putting the paci inside of the bear. Another friend of mine talked about tieing the paci to a balloon and let it float away lol

Ethan has one clipped to him at all times but he only sucks on it when he's tired or upset. He goes to bed and naptime with one but he spits it out as soon as he's asleep. So I'm in no rush to take it from him.

Emily started throwing hers at 6 months. It was the best day ever! I thought it was going to be hard.

Vincent gets his for naps and at night and occasionally in the car or if he's really upset. I wanted to aim to have it gone around 18 months but I'm not really sure how I'm going to try to go about it.

Leah is a paci addict. We call it her "patty." She will scream, cry, and throw a fit until I give in and give it to her. If she wakes up in the middle of the night and can't find it; she'll crawl all around in her crib looking for it in the dark. I said I was going to take it away when she started getting teeth, and that didn't happen. Then I said I would take it away when she turned one, and that didn't happen either. I definitely don't want a 2 yr old with a paci.
DH and I have kinda been battling over this topic. While I have Leah during the week, she only gets it for naps and bed time. During the weekend while I'm at work, DH leaves it clipped on her ALL DAY LONG! If I had her for 2 weeks straight alone, I think I'd be able to get her away from the paci, but whatever...

Yep, we still have one. Eli is a terrible sleeper and I don't want to make him an even worse sleeper by taking away his soother.

No, we never had much luck getting Aaron to take one. I don't think he's had one since he was 3 or 4 months old.

Ugh. Just got my two year old off hers about 4 months ago. Every now and then she looks longingly at Kellen's but she has never fallen off the wagon...lol. We told her the binky fairy was coming one night to take and give her binkies to all the babies and she was fine with it once it happened.
Kellen only takes it at bed and naps. I think it's going to be easier to get him off it because Kaila had to have one in her mouth and one in her hand at all times ane was talking through the thing and we were able to wean her without as much drama as I thought. My oldest never took one.

No paci anymore. None, nada. Today is actually day 20 with no binky. I tossed them all the other day in the trash. Also she no longer sucks her finger (She sucked her finger right after I removed paci's) which makes me happy. I was worried about her sucking her finger because of me taking it away.

I took Caleb's away on his birthday...then a few days later I gave in and he got them back. I couldn't handle the screaming anymore. We'll try again at 18 months.

Sydney still has one at naps and bedtime. She's been sick (roseola) and she now has 5 teeth coming in (yep ..5! All at the same time!) so I really don't want to take it away right now. I have no issues with her having it a little while longer -- she only uses it at night and naps.

Ella never took to one... Probably because there was no room with her thumb jammed in there!!! Not sure what we're going to do about that... Or when... I have a family member who is a dental hygienist and she is getting on me all the time about how I need to start trying to break her thumb sucking habit NOW! I can't though...it's too darn cute AND how she let's me know she's tired.

Toby had one, but we haven't used it since he was about 6 months. He was never super attached to it anyway. I never used one with the older two, but they are both still big thumb suckers. They only do it now when they are tired or poorly, but I want to try and get them to stop
