...with my cell phone! Out of all his toys, his own toy cell phone, etc. he comes charging for my phone no mattter where I put it. If I move it away from him, he absolutely rages. I mean he stands frozen and purple until the tears bubble out of his eyes, followed by that loud shrieking scream of anger, followed by collapsing to his knees and so on... I have a hard time not laughing at these tantrums. You'd think I was torturing him!? It's not like I'm constantly on my phone. He just hates the fact that when I'm done using it, I place it out of his reach (same thing with TV remote, cable cords, outlet plugs, etc.).
I'm not giving in because I can see a spiral toward tantrums over everything. Geesh!! So much for all his bday presents...
Anyone else's LO only want non-toy toys??

Noah is the same way with my phone and the remote, he likes to push the buttons, I just try and keep consistent of not giving it to him.

Ethan is the exact same way with pretty much anything he can't have...the computer mouse, my cell phone, the remote...etc. It's sort of funny sort of not lol! Because I keep telling him he's too young to be having such tantrums and to be so hard headed and want what he wants so badly lol!!!

Haha! It's so hard b/c he actually would not want something if I pushed him to play with it (reverse psychology)...but you can't take that stance with electronics or something that could harm him. Like, he is obsessed with the cable cord and I can't really make him think it's okay to play with it b/c it's actually dangerous for him to chew on it, etc. So, instead, I block it and he will tear apart the object in his way just to get it at it. Obsessed!

Sophie goes after our TV remotes, so we got the Sesame Street Silly Sounds remote and sit it on the edge of the couch. Every time she grabs it we gasp, she takes off running with it and plays with it....haha

^^Good idea!! I should gasp when he goes for one of his toys so he thinks he's getting away with something.

That gasping is a good idea, Holly. I will have to try that too.
But yes, Kaylee is the same way. I even tried giving her one of our old phones but it's just not the same to her. LOL
All of these tantrums already! I wonder what 2 will be like.

I gave Sydney an old remote with no batteries in it thinking it would work. I think she realizes it doesn't change the channel for her

Eli is the same way with any electronics or cords of any kind. I have figured out how to keep all of the ones that are in his play areas out of his sight because he makes a beeline for them. Crazy kid!
That remote is really cute, Holly!

LOL I guess I'm the only sucker mom who lets their kid play with the cell phone...I know I shouldn't..but it buys me extra sleeping time! And yes, my cell phone is getting pretty jacked up because of it.
