I'm having a hard time getting V to try or actually eat many veggies, especially green ones. Any fun and fairly easy ideas or recipes for how to get him to eat some more?

Also, I'm in need of general meal ideas too - I'm sure he's getting tired of the same things over and over. Can we sticky the meal ideas posts or just bump them up at least?

How funny...I was just getting on here to post a picture of C throwing a fit about his veggies..I'll do in another thread though.

Anyway, no advice but I'll be watching this thread for ideas...

No idea on how to get him to, other then keep offering them and let him see you eat them.

We cant sticky all those because you can only have so many stickies at a time and we wont have room for them. You can keep them bumped up though. Ill go find them and bump them up again.

No idea. Ethan USED to eat peas and carrots. Now he eats no veggies. Hates them. I have even tried "hiding" them in other foods/smashing them up, but he ALWAYS knows. Looking forward to some help from others!

Arianna will eat the frozen veggies that come with "sauces" (ie. antioxidant blend (i think it has basil butter?). I prefer to do simple things, but it at least gets her to eat her veggies!

We give him a lot of the Happy baby vegetable/ fruit pouches. I wish they made refillable empty pouches so that I could make my own.

Aidyen still only eats pureed veggies. I have offered pieces of cooked veggies and he spits them out. I don't know if this will work for you, but since Aidyen won't eat meat, I use to puree meat and add it to fruit or pureed veggies and he would eat it as long as it wasn't too chunky. Maybe its a texture thing for Vincent? You could try puree veggies mixed with fruit or those pouches have mixtures

I don't know if it's a texture thing or what. He's just resistant to trying things right now even though he usually will decide he likes something after a couple bites. It's just getting him going that's the problem I think.

I did buy some of those pouches today though - I got the Ella's organics ones. He ate the Spinach, Rutabaga, Apple one at supper and loved it! He saw me pick them up at the store and got upset when I wouldn't give him one then. He's used to the applesauce ones and knew there was something yummy in those pouches so I think that helped. I think this will be good to at least get some veggies in him for now but I don't want to do them all the time because they're expensive and I want him to learn to eat more actual veggies, not just purees.

I know what you mean...they are expensive. The Happy baby ones are usually cheaper than the Ella ones and Target has them on sale frequently.
I feel the same way tho...at least he is getting some vegetables this way.
