I'm going back to work tomorrow after being on mat leave for a whole year. sniff....sniff!!
Trying frantically to get everything ready for tomorrow morning, so I don't have to rush when I get up at 5am. So not looking forward to getting up that early again.
Hope the kids will be good at the sitter's.

LOL Lori,
I have to get up at 5am because it takes me 1 hour on the train to get in to work and I start at 8am. So I get up, take a shower (that usually takes 30min) then get ready, pack the lunches, feed the baby, get Isabelle ready and then we leave the house around 6:30am to drop the kids off at the sitter. I have to catch the 6:55am train. Yeah, it's a long day!
The only thing I'm looking forward to is having some time (on the train) to read or sleep and not having to listen to the kids constantly screaming or fighting with each other. And of course making more money to pay off some bills finally.
Oh and I forgot to add that I got puked on this morning. What a wonderful start to the day.

It actually went really well. No one cried or made a scene when I dropped them off this morning, so I guess they had fun yesterday. The sitter said that Isabelle played really nice with the boy she watches and both had really good naps and ate heaps. Miranda was pooped and went to bed at 7:30pm. Hopefully today is just as good.
Work was fine too. It's like I never left. Same old crap and issues, just a few new faces.

I'm with you on the 5am boat! School starts again next week and I have to get up at 5 too so that I have time to get Ellie ready and dropped off at the sitter to be at work at 7. I may start getting up at 4:30 since that's when DH gets up for work anyway.

Oh man, that really sucks! I don't think I could function any earlier than 5am. I've had horrible sleeps the past couple of nights mingled with a migraine. More so stressed over the whole routine than actually going back to work. I hope I sleep better today knowing that things are okay when I'm not home.

We go to bed by 9 usually so it's not so hard to get up, but that's part of the reason I need to get an evening routine going.
