My baby is never going to sleep through the night. Never ever ever ever. She will be 15 and I'll still have to get up and rock her to sleep with a bottle.

Nah, I'm pretty sure she'll be sleeping through the night by the time she's 5. Only 4 more years to go! J/K.

Have you read the No Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers and Preschoolers? I just read it, and I don't remember the statistics exactly so I won't quote them, but it was amazing what percent of toddlers are still not STTN at 1, 2, 3, etc. It was oddly reassuring to know that we're not alone.

Also, it points out that adults rarely STTN. Personally I get up to go to the bathroom once or twice per night anyway, since I drink a lot of water, so 2 night wakings is cake for me. It's just the 5+ night wakings that get to me. But this too shall pass.

LOL I hate to laugh, but I feel the same way! Owen's still up & down all night and refuses to sleep in his bed. So frustrating!

I feel the same way sometimes. I'm sure it will be years before he sleeps longer than a 4-5 hour stretch. Fortunately the easiest fix for us is just to get him in bed with us and he sleeps pretty well (except for all the moving and changing positions). I think I've adjusted pretty well to our sleep situation so far, no matter how "bad" it may seem to other people, although I can't say the same for DH. I don't usually feel sleep deprived but I am looking forward to having my bed back someday. I'm hoping at least by the time we have our own place and he has his own room, but time will tell.

Arianna still can't fall asleep without laying on me (or in a pinch, her dad). She has to sleep on us an hour or so before we can even try to put her in her crib. That Sleep Solution book sounds like we could use it!

I'm still with ya too, Girl. Bella was 15 months before she would stay in her bed all night, so I'm thinking HOPEFULLY I will only have a few more months of this! Eli was in our bed by 12:30 last night.....think he's getting worse instead of better. We had a good stretch where he was making it until 3 AM pretty consistently. Oh well. I promise you, it really won't last forever.

Noah is three and he doesn't sleep through the night. That's supposed to be reassuring by the way. HA

Omg, I REALLY hope that's not the case...but I wouldn't be surprised. I do remember my mom telling me when I was young to stay in bed and not knock on their door unless I was feeling sick. I can't remember how old I was though...I feel like it was 3 but it might have been 7 or something haha.
