Aidyen is still breastfed on demand throughout the day and unfortunately all through the night my question is should I be offering him milk throughout the day? I tried goat milk and he liked it but wasted more than he drank. If I offer him mill wont that make him nurse less? I don't want to replace nursing with mill but I don't want him missing something he needs kwim?

I give whole milk and she also wastes more than she drinks. She's also nursing on demand, so if anything, cow's milk is just a supplement atm.

Hmm, im not too sure but when I went to Eva's 12 month check, she said they should be getting all their needs from food and milk is just an added bonus.
You may not agree with that at all, just what I was told!

Ty just had his 12 month check up the other day and our pedi said I can introduce milk anytime in his sippy cup just as a drink like I would water. That shouldnt change any amount of on demand breastfeeding we do. Personally, it will still be a few more months before I even offer Ty cows milk.

I really dont know, I've always thought if they were bfing a lot, it's not necessary.

I guess it's up to you? I dont think he needs whole milk since he still bfs but you could just do water in a cup??

Sorry not much help.

Breast milk is more nutritious than animal milk, so you shouldn't worry that you have to give another kind of milk. What you have already is perfect! It's all up to you and whether you'd like a break from nursing. I won't offer Juliana another kind of milk for a while still. I'm trying to get her to take breast milk in a sippy, and that's hard enough without changing up the milk.
