I made kabobs for dinner like 3 nights ago and my hands STILL smell of onion. No matter how much washing/bathing I have done they still stink. I love onions but I hate when I get that one potent one that just lingers.

that is all haha

I swear it works. If you have a metal sink (can't think of the term right now...lol ) rub your hands on the side of the sink for a few and wash and the smell is gone.

I heard lemon juice works, too. You take either the juice and wash your hands w/ it or you cut a lemon and rub it over your hands. But if you have cuts on your hand it will hurt. I can see baking soda working.

Do I really have to rub my hands against the metal? I hate metal haha. I will remember these the next time I get a potent one!

I hate when that happens, It seems to soak into my pores and lasts forever.

Happens to me too, every time I cut onions or garlic, I can smell it for days. This might be weird but I can smell it the most when I am taking a shower/when I get out of the shower, like the steam brings the scent out of my pores...

Hmm I usually just fill the sink with really hot water all the way to the top and pour a cup of bleach in it and leave it sit for an hour. That usually works. Never tried onions.

I know. I just realized that and was about to edit my post. I'm tired. I thought you all were talking about using onions to rub the sink to clean them. I was thinking you girls are nuts. I'm not cleaning the sink with onions. I totally misread this all to say to clean the smell out of sinks you use onions verses to clean the onion stink use the sink. Don't even know how I misread all that, but with that I am going to bed!

LOL @ Teresa.

Marissa if you do try it you only have to do it like maybe 10-15 seconds..lol not long at all. As if you were wiping something off the side of the sink.

Aimee thats when I notice it as well. I just learned the sink trick a few months ago..lol I knew about baking soda but well I never have any on hand or remember..lol
