She says :

mama
dada
that
up (bup-bup-bup!)
book (cook)
fish
water (wa-wa)
yum! (gum!)
bye-bye

She signs:

more
all done
hi/bye
bird
cat
fish
cracker
potty

Little miss chatterbox says a lot more than those words but i have yet to figure them out I've also heard her say other words (including her name) or even short phrases ("which one?") but not as consistantly as the words listed. She also mimics a lot. It freaks me out, I know she is understanding WAY more than I think she is understanding...but I don't know to what extent. I'm pretty silly so she is probably hearing all kinds of sarcastic nonsense from me!

She toddles up, hands me some object, points and says, "Wha Yaa?" If there's any doubt about what she asked, it was squelched when her sister walked up behind her and says, "What's that?"

Mama
Dadda
her sister's name
uh-oh

Her sister was kind of a late talker, as was I (my mom actually thought I was deaf or autistic because other than a couple words, I didn't really start talking till I was 3) so I'm not too worried.

Just mama

She has said "that" and "dada" a few times but it's been months.

She signs for more, and bye bye

She's a late talker but I know she will talk and Im in no rush to worry. My oldest was 1 1/2-2 before she talked, and she wont hush now.

Edit to add: she knows pretty much anything I ask now, and can bring it to me, or get it, but she doesnt say them yet. Example: Bring mommy the shoe or cup, or baby, or phone, ect....She knows what they all are, but doesnt say them yet.

ah ok, I didn't want it to sound like that meant anything, I was just curious! I think its actually pretty normal for some kids not to start talking until they are 2.

bear
bird
mama
dada
papa (for grandpa)
nana (for banana)
uh-oh
bye
dog

She signs:

At 9 months, I had to take her to EI because she didn't babble. Now she's ahead on language. It can change so quickly.

mama
dadda
daddy
hi daddy
sissy (sounds like dissy)
hi sissy
hi
bye bye
kitty (sounds like ditty)
ought-oh
num-num
up
thank-you (sounds like tank-eww)
i love you (sounds like ugh-ewww)

all 4 of my kids have been extremely earlier talkers. people didnt like to believe how much and how early Julia talked until they saw in it person. I thought Ty might talk late since he is a boy and I have heard they are late at a lot of things, but so far he is right on with his sisters in speech and earlier in physical development.

I have never taught my babies sign language so he does not sign.

Not much! He says Uh Oh. And once in a while Dada. He's a quiet little guy.

Apparently my husband was a pretty late talker so I keep that in mind....he's quite the social butterfly now so he certainly came around.

Mama
Mommy
Dadda (dah-da)
Doggie (dada)
Ducky (duh-ee)
Uh oh
Lion (rahhhh)
Yum (Mmm mmh)
Ball (bah)
Bird (birh)
Flower (wah-wa)
Wow
And wow-ow! for the big stuff

If you notice some of the words seems similar it's because of the consistent context that I included them. He def means what he's referring to.

Dog
Uh-oh
That
You're doing good
Good job
Yes
Thank you (although its very jumbled)

And he mumbles other things but they aren't that clear yet!
