I know I usually only do Mon-Fri QOTD but I have a sunday question

Do any of you do a "Sunday Dinner?"

Why or why not?

If you do, who all is there? Entire family or just your dh and kids?

Sunday dinner? Ummmm no.

I had forgotten that people used to do "Sunday dinners" I think its a cool idea that people must still do, but my family does not. Fact is, I dont usually even make dinner on the weekends unless we are having my family over for a barbeque.

If I liked to cook, which I do not, and had lots of time on my hands, which I do not, I think it would be very neat to have my family over for a Sunday dinner. But not to be for me at this point in my life.

We used to always go to my moms on sundays for dinner. This was back when we first got married and a little after oldest was born but after dh's schedule changed and began working some sundays we all just stopped. Just recently, I've began making sunday breakfast or dinner depending on my mood. So every sunday that Dh is home, I actually prefer making breakfast.

I love to cook so it's fun for me. It's just my dh and kids so Im not really cooking a lot.

Sunday dinner? No

I usually don't cook on the weekends either.
And like Tyla, I hate cooking. LOL
When we were stationed in NC, we had a family from church take us in and accepted us as their family. Anyway, she does Sunday dinners. It was fun.
(PS. This was 4 years ago, and we still keep in touch often)

No we don't either. I wish we did but we don't have family close to us. They are all down in the Modesto and Fresno area which is only 3-4 hrs away. I don't usually cook on Sundays either we just eat leftovers from Saturday's dinner.

No. We usually don't get done with church until 1pm and our church is 45 minutes away so we tend to eat out on Sundays.

I do think it's a neat idea though. My father used to always cook a huge breakfast on Sunday mornings.

No, we usually just eat leftovers for lunch because we don't usually get home from church until 1 and then for supper we usually do something quick because we have church from 6-7 and have to leave at 5:30 so it's either something quick either before or after church.

Do any of you do a "Sunday Dinner?" I did today...usually, it's a really early dinner (like 1 or 2pm); honestly though...I hate to cook and usually avoid it at all costs. Sometimes we eat at my Mom's because she likes doing Sunday dinners, or we go to the Mall. Btw...I make meatloaf today (1st time) and actually didn't bomb. It was a hit with the kids!

Why or why not? Usually it's just me and the kids on Sunday, so I feed them and I get by snacking or eating what they don't.

If you do, who all is there? Entire family or just your dh and kids? Usually just me and the kids. DH is there when he's home from work and sometimes my parents.

Yes. We have a Sunday Roast most weeks. Sometimes it will be a casserole instead. We have the full works, roast meat, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, veggies, sometimes stuffing. MIL often joins us as she lives close by, but everyone else is at least an hour away

Not normally, since we go to church we normally just go out to eat with the family because BJ and I work so much it seems, we hardly see anyone during the week. After I get off work I have no time to stop and visit with anyone. So we usually make Sunday evening family time and go out to eat with BJ's parents, brother, sister and my nephew.
